Hello, we're Waterstones Reading Broad Street on Tumblr. We're that shop that used to be a chapel on the main high street in central Reading, with the dome and the stained glass windows. We sell books, awesome books, and really love talking about it. There is an exciting event coming up in July in branch, which is the book signing being held by Michael Palin, broadcaster and traveller-extraordinaire, who will be signing copies of his new novel "The Truth" on Saturday 7th July at 12 noon.
This event is even more special because Michael will only be signing his book at a very select number of branches, so we're very humbled that he picked us for his signing. We are obviously expecting this event to be extremely popular, so get to the store in plenty of time to ensure success

We're extremely pleased to announce an Evening with Jeremy Vine, the BBC presenter, who will be discussing his latest book "It's All News to Me" on Wednesday 20th June at 6.30pm. This is a ticketed event, and tickets are still available for £2 each, but they are in high demand for what is sure to be an excellent and interesting evening.

Bob Turney will be talking about his inspirational autobiography 'The Idiot Boy'. As a child Bob was profoundly dyslexic. He eventually became one of South London's most prolific burglars. From this he turned his life around to become a probation officer, international speaker and author.
