You look BEAUTIFUL Tee! I’m already crying.
You’re never going to make it down the aisle. Maybe you and Sam need to be up front waiting for me at the altar.
No way! I’ll make sure he keeps it together. We definitely want to come down the aisle.
How goes the wedding dress shopping? And the rest of the wedding plans?
All is well, now that my pushy aunt has left town (I love her so much, but yeah haha).
The dress has been found. It's a dream.
Honestly, the rest of the wedding feels mostly like something we're doing to make our parents happy, so they can celebrate being done with us, haha. But it's mixed in with little girls dreams so it will be fun for me, too.
We need to pick out suits for Blaine and Sam, ideas are welcome! No kilts.
Cam's been a saint through it all. Can't wait for the honeymoon!
With the wedding coming up- are there any plans for children sooner than later?
No plans now, but yes down the road we'd like to have kids in our lives, whether that be by adopting, biologically, or just babysitting @theartswillsaveya's and/or @aroundthecornerblaine's, if they have them!

Tina Cohen-Chang: [deleted caption from social media] All I could think about was you and Sam while I was shopping with my Aunt! She keeps turning every conversation back to her size zero MBA daughter (who I love, don’t get me wrong). I’m an eight! Medium! Beautiful! STILL she’s so annoying!!!!

Blaine: Hey-- before you guys go out for nye and your plans, can I bother one of you to pick me up a couple of things?
Blaine: I have a cold. And feel all kinds of yucky.
Tina: Oh no! So sorry to hear. What do you need?
Sam: Oh man, that sucks! I was going to try to get you to go to the party with us, but we'll have to duck into the bedrooms and FaceTime you.

You Get What You Give
Blaine shook his head. “It’s nothing. Besides, some of these feel kind of romantic, especially this time of the year. And I’m not always feeling that right now. But I will gladly take some bestie time,” he grinned. “Really? I wouldn’t have thought that at all,” he said of Cameron.
Blaine chuckled. “Maybe. Maybe one day when we’re old and gray, with grandkids and partners that are no longer around for whatever reason, we will get our stuff figured out.” He was quiet for a moment as he considered what she asked about Sebastian being a villain. “I’m not sure. Maybe he won’t always the villain per se in what happened with my grandmother’s store, but I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to forget the roll he played. Forgive, maybe, but forget? I’m not sure. I understand that to them it’s just business, but I still don’t think it’s right. Like you said, there was a ruthlessness to it. And there was no apology. Like it was my fault that I couldn’t understand that it was just business.” He could feel himself getting worked up as he took a breath. “Things should matter, you know?”
“His heart is in the right place,” Blaine smiled as Tina talked about Sam’s lack of subtly. “And it wasn’t so long ago I was waxing poetic to him about how maybe Sebastian was the one that got away. So it makes sense, that he is wondering if something is there. But things have changed… so much has changed, since then.” He laughed at the image of Sebastian stooping down to kiss him. “There was a time when nothing might have stopped him from that, least of all a little stooping.”
Blaine tilted his head, drinking more wine. “I think we both kind of realized it. I might have started the conversation but he jumped right in and agreed. I think it was becoming obvious that it was a bit like when Ross and Rachel broke up and Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe didn’t know how to act around them and what was okay and not okay. It was silly.”
Blaine almost choked on his wine. “No. No. No intel. I don’t know where things are or how they will play out, but what I do know, is that if anything does happen, it has to come from Sebastian and I. Not anyone else.”
He shook his head. “We didn’t meet. Even though we were going to and he didn’t show up, when we decided to exchange gifts, we knew we would have to figure out a way to do that secretly. We keep saying “not knowing has it’s charms”. But I think deciding to exchange gifts is in part because he realized how much I enjoy Christmas and he knows there are things happening that make this year, a little rough. There have been different times where we were like “if I could give you this, I would,” so it was like, we should make an effort to do this. Apparently he has a friend who is a doorman at in a building who agreed to accept gift for me, for Mr Mystery and he’d already left mine. The crazy thing, the building is like a block and a half from here. We could be neighbors. We might see each other all the time and not know it.”
“I need the bestie time,” Tina said sincerely. “So anything you still want to do, just let me know. “
She smiled at Blaine’s elderly vision of Seblaine. She was glad he could chuckle about it all - it really had been a strange road for them over the course of the autumn. She said tenderly, “You’re a wonderful person to think about forgiving, especially since this is the second time he’s done villainous things since we’ve known him.” She sipped her wine and thought about what he’d said. “There’s been no apology? Huh. Well that makes a big difference. It wasn’t until he apologized in high school that everyone (well, except Kurt) came round to him.” She stared up at the Christmas tree. “I don’t know that he has to apologize for running his business, but just saying he’s sorry that it happened to you...showing some regard for how you feel about it all...that does seem in order.” Her brow furrowed. “Ugh, that makes me feel guilty for being nice to him lately.”
She looked Blaine pensively. “So forgive, but maybe not forget. Maybe, maybe not. I guess the question is, do you want to try to forget? Do you want all of this to be the crazy story of how you managed to get together? Or would you rather just forgive him and move on, and just be friends?” She sipped more wine and said with a raised brow, “Because honestly, a guy like that is a lot of work. He’s probably always going to make emotional mistakes, not because he’s a villain, but because somewhere in his upbringing, this past boyfriends or whatever, he’s just not had a chance to develop into a guy who is good at communicating his feelings, being very sensitive to others, understanding relationships well...
“I think the payoff can be there, we’ve seen it...Puck and Quinn, Rachel and Jesse, Santana and Britt...but you have to decide if that’s something that seems like something you think is great to do with someone, or if it seems possibly daunting.”
Tina listened with fascination at Blaine’s Mystery Man update. “That’s really nice that he made an effort to exchange gifts, that he wanted to do something for you since this Christmas is odd not do with Kurt and the store and everything. See, there’s someone who is thoughtful,” she said, implying Sebastian was not. She smiled at the whimsical idea. “That’s amazing to think you’ve probably, definitely passed him on the street. The Upper Westside is so small... now THAT’s a beautiful story of how you managed to get together...”

You Get What You Give
“That would be fun! I happen to have an extra ticket to a couple of things, because I ordered them way back wen Kurt and I were still together,” Blaine offered. “I was thinking of giving a set to you and Cam and one to Sam and Catie.”
Blaine shrugged. “I probably could have dated Sebastian…” he trailed off thinking about it. “I don’t think I trusted myself with him, or him with me. And I knew that was one thing Kurt and I would never be able to come back from. Back in senior year, Kurt assumed it had been Sebastian I’d slept with. And when I told him I was dating Dave, after I flunked out of NYADA, again, he assumed it was Sebastian.” He laughed. “I guess maybe it feels like we were inevitable. Maybe a part of me will always wonder about that. I thought it would go away, but it hasn’t. And talking to them about him didn’t exactly help.”
Blaine shook his head. “No, I mean, maybe it came out harsher than I intended. It just felt a little like a set up. I don’t think it was though, and it wasn’t that I thought they were insensitive… and it did end well. So that’s good.” He laughed. “If it had been a set up like in rom com, he would have come out and someone would have just happened to have mistletoe to put above us and forced us to kiss or something. And that DID not happen. So. Not a set up.”
“I realized it was going to get bad. Especially when I started getting defensive because it felt like he was “taking” my friends and putting them on his social media,” Blaine admitted guiltily. “Oh god, Sam apparently is talking to other Warblers. Like Jeff. And they seem to think Seb has feelings for me. I think that ship has sailed.”
Blaine waved a hand at Tina. “That song is just moving. I didn’t even sing a big lead on it.” He sat with what she said about owning it and swallowed thickly. “That’s probably been true for a long time. I guess it’s comforting that some things never change.”
Blaine grinned at Tina as she looked at the music box. “It really is so beautiful, and such thoughtful and kind of perfect gift for me,” he nodded excitedly. Even though she was excited about it, Blaine decided at the last minute to keep the song, and the card from her. Even though they both furthered his point about why they hadn’t met. The song… the words… it was a mixed message. “It kind of feels like it, but not enough to meet in person to exchange gifts. And I… I cant figure out why. I hope that changes in the new year.”
Tina looked touched. “That’s so sweet of you to think of us! But you should come to what you bought tickets for! You and I can go together, and you and Sam...” She added mischievously, “Screw the significant others!” She smiled to also add, “Cam’s not big on the ballet anyway...”
Then she sipped her wine as she listened to Blaine think about his high school days with Sebastian Smythe. “Well, inevitable is inevitable...” she said with a lightly teasing tone. She grew more serious next, though. “Do you think it’s impossible now that he is always going to be the historical villain behind your grandmother’s store closing? Not so much the business aspect (Cam and I had a looooooooooong conversation about that) but just that he’s the kind of person who is kind of ruthless, even if an old high school classmate had that kind of bond you had with the founder of the store?”
Tina nodded with comprehension. “Ohhhhhh, sorry I totally didn’t get that - so, you thought they were setting you up, got it. Yeah, if that was happening I think you would have known,” she chuckled. “Because the third leg of our Blamtina footstool is not exactly subtle about that sort of thing...or really...anything.” Her smile was affectionate. “Sammy would have stapled mistletoe on your forehead.” She laughed harder. “Though that would mean Sebastian would have to stoop down to get under it and kiss you.”
She looked sympathetic. “Yeah, it probably would have gotten bad if you didn’t truce...Sam and I were talking about intervening if things didn’t get better. “Whose idea was the truce, anyway? How did it go down?”
Tina shrugged. “What makes you think the ship has sailed? Do you want me to ask Cam to get some intel?”
She looked at Blaine’s uncertain face and asked in her direct way, “How did you decide to exchange gifts, or to meet in person or not? It’s kind of surprising how long you two have kept this secret penpal thing up...”

You Get What You Give
Blaine nodded his agreement. “Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year; it’s so beautiful, so artistic, so magical. I refuse to not see that part this year.” He took a sip of his wine and stared at the tree for a moment. Blaine’s attention returned back to Tina. And he shook his head. “No, no, nothing like that. I don’t think it was a set up, but still is it so far fetched that he’d be at his father’s or with his young brother, at Christmas? Especially given he will be in Paris for Christmas?” He shook his head again. “Hunter’s new boyfriend, Jay, is the guy Seb came into my store with in the fall, with the kids. He is Seb’s ex. He told me a bunch of stuff about Sebastian while we were walking and caroling. It was weird to talk to someone who not only saw the Sebastian I did, but truly experienced and appreciated him that way. I think I felt a little bitter,” Blaine admitted.
“But all is well that ends well and this ended better than a lot of things between us lately. Although, I don’t know if I told you, but we’ve called a truce so no one has to feel caught in the middle. Our lives, especially as long as we’re both in New York are going to continue to have overlap. It’s just a fact.” Blaine took another large gulp of wine. “Sebastian told me that my singing made him emotional. Can you imagine? Actually at first he alluded to the fact that there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, which I thought meant I’d moved him to tears, but not quite as it turns out.” He shrugged his shoulders. “Either way I don’t really know what to do with that.” Blaine finished his glass and poured another.
“Speaking of beautiful and magical though,” he said getting up and going over to the tree, opening the gate and taking out NY 152’s gift. “Online Mystery Man and I exchanged gifts. Look at this beautiful music box.” Blaine handed the music box carefully to Tina. He wasn’t ready to share the words on the card or the song yet; they were incredibly personal and he had to know where Tina was standing currently on the online Mystery Man, and exchanging gifts with him.
Blaine nodded his agreement. “Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year; it’s so beautiful, so artistic, so magical. I refuse to not see that part this year.” He took a sip of his wine and stared at the tree for a moment. Tina raised her glass before taking a sip, too. “I’m so glad. You are amazing to approach it that way. Just let me know if you want company with all that. “We should get Nutcracker tickets...” Tina’s brows raised at Blaine’s discussion of Hunter’s new boyfriend. “Honestly? You sound a little envious that he got to date Sebastian,” she said sagely, purposely not using the word “jealous.” She took a sip of her wine. “Which is understandable, you’ve always liked Sebastian but couldn’t date him. And it sounds like you think they were not considerate of you when they chose to stop at his dad’s house. I wouldn’t say it’s far fetched for Sebastian to be at his dad’s house, but I don’t think I would assume he would be there, either. But if they had thought of it, would you have told them not to sing there? Then you wouldn’t have gotten your “all’s well that ends well...”
She was relieved to hear about the “truce.” She put her glass down and cuddled up with a sofa pillow. “That’s really big of you guys,” she said with gratitude. “Cam is going to be so glad to hear about it.”
She watched a little worriedly as Blaine gulped his wine, but then she had to chuckle. “Yes, I can imagine Sebastian getting emotional when you sang. Everyone gets emotional when you sing! In fact, now that I think about it I remember looking out in the audience at sectionals junior year and seeing Sebastian looking actually moved by “Man in the Mirror.”
Tina picked up her glass again and said warmly, “I think what you do with that...is...you just own it. Sebastian feels something about you and your music. That’s nice. He’s not an easy person to impress. He’s always teasing or being cynical...the fact that you made him feel things that he probably doesn’t feel very often...that’s something be proud of.”
Tina took the beautiful box with interest. “Wow, this is really beautiful...and so...well, it’s not a very generic present. For someone who’s never met you before, I would have thought it would be something like a nice bottle of wine...but this...” She opened it and ducked her head to listen to the song. She looked at it for a moment as it played. “He must have gotten this custom made...a stained glass design like this isn’t a Christmas design, but it’s a Christmas song...” She looked up at Blaine with sweet expression. “He really likes you...” she said with a knowing, playful tone.
