By the time she realized where she’d been taken, it was too late. She was practically strapped to the operating table when it dawned on her that maybe Damon wasn’t on Dave’s side. She’d been so relieved at that prospect of someone saving her from her personal snowy hell, she would have never have thought that Damon, her former uncle, would work for her. As she was escorted into the compound, pink eyes glared in betrayal at the befeathered guard. Every fiber of her being hated him, and she’d be sure to hold on to it even if she was chipped. She pulled against the guards, snarling insults and threats towards him, promising everything from castration with a plastic spoon to eviceration with a push-pin, only to be roughly yanked forwards and hit over the head, immediately slumping over as conciousness left her.
When she regained consciousness, she could only see those harsh halogen lights, like what those old horror movies showed over operating tables. She couldn’t move her head, having been strapped to the table, but out of the corner of her eye, she saw rust-stained floors with patches of odd colors, and stainless steel instruments resting on pristine white cloth. Tears filled her eyes, because she knew what was coming next. She couldn’t escape now. As the scrubbed-up surgeon approached and spoke to her in calming tones, she started sobbing, thinking about what she wouldn’t give to be back in those snowy, isolated woods. As the instruments bit into her flesh to begin the transformation surgery, she began screaming.
Upon waking once more, the blonde winced in pain, the lights seemig twice as bright as before, and a different color, to boot. She hissed in discomfort, both at the piercing pain from the lights and pervading ache flooding her body.
“Ahh, you are awake. We were worried the lack of anaesthetic and the amount of pain would cause this surgery to fail. But fortunately, you survived. One last thing. To program and activate your chip.” The surgeon that spoke to her before her surgery was speaking again, in those same warm, calm tones. Roxy’s eyes widened in apprehension, only to feel an odd sensation paired with the action. The surgeon proceeded to activate and program her chip, leaving her mind in a daze before she snapped back to herself, only with many a change in place.
“Wonderful! Miss Lalonde, if you would allow me…” With that, he unbuckled her, and helped her stand. The girl catalogued the new additions to her body, as well as making mental notes, such as the fact it felt more natural to stand on her toes. Finally turning her head to the full length mirror brought before her, her eyes widened. All four of them. She scrambled to grab at the mirror, pulling her face closer. Hwr distinctive pink eyes were now noticeably cat-like in shape, and there was another, smaller set above her original pair. And fully functional, she found out, closing her lower set of eyes. Tearing her eyes from, well, her eyes, she focused on other new features, such as the silky black cat ears that replaced her human ones, placed on top of her head amongst her blonde curls. Her ears flattened in apprehension as she opened her mouth, now in possession of a roughened tongue and many sharp fangs. She hissed in panic, her face scrunching up, only for her hands to fly to her throat. Feeling odd pinpricks against her skin, she pulled her hands away and whine as she saw calluses and claws. She slowly looked behind her, locating the fluffy, silky black tail attached to her spine, and down at her feet, seeing the sharpened nails with her augmented eyes. As she was barefoot, the rough concreted scratched against the peet-like calluses on the balls of her feet. She collapsed, covering her face, before her new chip-induced programming took over, and she began calming herself down, reminding her of her new-found loyalty to the Empire that gifted her with these changes, as the surgeon once more spoke.
“Welcome, Miss Roxanne Heather Lalonde, to Her Imperial Condescension’s Empire.”
