Does anyone else write their characters after people they know, or is that just a me thing? Like it, almost no one notices anyways because it's the way I see people so it's more subtle to other people because they view stuff differently but there's always part of me that's terrified someone will find out and spill my guts.

I'm currently writing a book where all the chapter titles are song names, these are the ideas I have currently(out of order):

Like a child, we are impressionable

We run without care

with scabbed knees and bloody noses

Stumbling blindly

Poorly fighting

Like a child we cry over movies and talk nonsense

Conformity is a concept,

but impressionability is real

It makes scars and we change

Like a child, freedom is earned

I love rehearsal. I love writing this play with a bunch of people who are all going to be insufferable for the rest of their lives. I love acting and writing to an unmeasurable degree.

Sometimes I can’t help but think

about those tangled bones

poor people thrown together

no peace

no closure

all done for simplicity

Heroes and starving children alike

none respected for what they did

or could’ve done

because practically is always favored

over comfortability

Mourning is useless

it will change nothing

death has taken its toll

I once knew a man who ran a union

He was not caring

or courageous

thought did not apply to him

It is now a question if he ever did run the union

without a doubt

a higher power was there

That man had no control

he listened and followed blindly

just like his men

a hierarchy

tainted with blood

It was only a matter of time

before he too was called

I saw a cat with blue eyes,

today,

it reminded me of you

There was a sad man on the subway,

today,

it reminded me of you

Tomorrow,

the cat with blue eyes

will be someone new

Do not embrace sorrow,

the man on the subway

will still be there
