i miss those traits about you — the ones that taught me.

i look at you and try to read between every line i can find about you but i think they’re dead. i have to remember that.

the same way my phone remembers your name or my algorithms bring you up; just like how you pop up at the first press of an “m” — my mind is just as sensitive.

everything still reminds me of you.

at the first mention of the neighbourhood —it’s you— and i fight the urge to call here we go again my favorite because i know it was yours too.

at every daft punk song, i think about how you probably love how it makes you feel.

in every spanish i hear, i remember how gentle your accent sounded. i hate that the whole reason i chose the language to learn was because of you.
