It would change the course of history and that could have dramatic consequences.” Even a little change could have disasterous consequences. “Quidditch is definitely on my list of things to catch up on.” It was a lighter subject, a distraction from all the deaths she was learning about. “I don’t know. I’m sure that should not be too difficult to find out if you’re looking for an answer. I have no idea if I am either. My father would not tell me anything. I think he doesn’t want me to get hurt so I just decided not to look for an answer.”

“Have a little fun Greta. Why not enjoy it, even if the Ministry uses Memory Charms on us all later?” Though, he doubted they could track them all down. The streets were filled with them. “I need to know for a fact if I made it as a Daily Prophet reporter. Also, if Felicitania Tugwood ever called me back.” He doubted it, but miracles did happen every day. “Who knows, maybe I became Mr. Tugwood.”

“don’t hold your breath for the arrows mate,” he laughed thinking about the team standings back when he was on the team. “you know, he retired after an incident with one of the other seekers — jeremy cotton. that was a whole thing, i remember now. i had just joined the league for the magpies when the fight happened, he crashed into dougal mcbride and the guy turned his head into a cabbage.

Otto shrugged. Well, he wished he could say he was surprised. He sighed. “Please tell me that the Wasps haven’t made it a bunch of times,” he said. He would never hear the end of it from Ludo if they did; his brother had probably hit sixty before retiring. He looked at the stranger. “Sorry, you played? I’ll make sure to keep an eye out for you in the future...or I guess the past considering where we are.”

Her cookbook was the most proud she was of one of her accomplishments. She’d worked on it for years and from what she had gathered she’d also revised some recipes and added new ones over time. However that wasn’t why she came to Flourish and Blotts today. She actually wanted to pick up a book about technological advancements, she was trying to learn to understand them better. “Neither, actually, but now that I’ve run into you I wanted to ask how he liked them?”

“Loved them. You should make him more,” he said. They had never actually reached Ludo, only Otto’s stomach, but the guilt was nonexistent. His brother didn’t need a bigger head. “He did wonder if you could include more chocolate chips though. He has a bit of a sweet tooth.”

She often had trouble defining what she saw herself as. A witch? A muggle? Greta was part of both worlds but she didn’t feel like she fully belonged in either, part of her always drawn to the other. “It is pretty cool. Just a lot to take in, I guess.” 

“We should enjoy it while we can. No saying if when we return we will remember all this. And I don’t know about you, but I am excited to see what my favorite players were up to.” He thought for a moment. “Bloody hell, you don’t think I’m still single, do you?”

Otto admired the display in the window, wondering exactly what he was seeing. “What is a Weasley Wizard Wheeze and why do I want one so badly.” He turned to the stranger next to him. “Bloody brilliant. This would have definitely changed the game when I was in school. I would have loved to hit my brother with some of these.”

“So, do I have anything to look forward to in your time? How are the Appleby Arrows doing?” He thought for a moment. “Please tell me Greggory Cotton is still on the team. Or that they’ve made it to the World Cup.”

Greta was still trying to wrap her head around the fact that she was in the future now. And with the future came a lot of changes, she just wasn’t sure which ones were good and which were bad yet. “All of this new technology is very overwhelming. So you’re trying to see me you can see someone’s face when you call them now?”

“Isn’t technology brilliant? What these muggles come up with is amazing.” Sure, Otto was part muggle himself (in the sense that most magical beings were), but he hardly spent much time around them. Usually, all that was throw around in his family was the fact that football was definitely less interesting than Quidditch. Or the fact that the only reason Ludo didn’t enjoy spending time in muggle London was because there was no one to fawn over him.

Ludo let out a soft, amused sounding chuckle.“Most people would kill for the chance to have a quick game with a living legend.” He’d gotten a fair bit of attention since the incident or whatever the hell they were all calling it. Apparently, history remembered him as what he knew he was: the best beater of his age. Now that he was in the future, he was eager to prove that he was the best beater of any age.

“If you say that with a straight face again, I may have to publish that story about you and the pool.” Really, like he needed his brother’s head to get any bigger than it already was. They worshiped him here as well. “How about instead you explain to me why I was chased down by freaking goblins?”

Okay, so Otto Bagman had to be the responsible one cuz dad was busy and Ludo was a hot mess.

He was a total Ravenclaw, there was never a question.

Blew stuff up to get attention, but also cuz playing with potions is fun. He graduates to lawn mowers.

Otto was never into playing Quidditch, but he loved watching an announcing.

Peak little brother.

He became a reporter for the Daily Prophet partially so he can make jokes about Ludo for the whole world, but also cuz excuse you, he was good at it. 

Honestly, the entire Bagman family has always been Quidditch obsessed and they listened to games together so those are his happiest memories.

But on a serious note, watching his brother deteriorate breaks his heart, he loves that asshole and would do anything for him.

Otto was raised agnostic, but he converted to Christianity because he needed something to believe in and as he says ‘I have to believe I will be rewarded for putting up with this nonsense’ aka Ludo.

He is not a smooth operator, quite the opposite, it’s the reason he is single af.

But also, he is a sweet, if sarcastic little bastard. He loves love. Wants to meet the One.

Will fall off a stationary broom but can somehow take a photo for the paper while hanging upside down from a tree like fucking Spiderman.

Yeah, overall, a sarcastic chaotic neutral who is also chaotic lawful and you should love him like I do.
