I really liked it!! It showed a lot of things that weren’t explained or shown in the manga like their day to day lives with Kai, mainly trying to get his attention though.

In the beginning it shows Kento feeding Kai ravioli while giving Dokuga a cheeky grin since he knows that Kai likes his cooking best. I really like how it shows how everyone wants Kai to favor them, and not just from the main 5, but also the cross-eyes from the house in the hydra forest.

But it’s also sad how Kai just gives them scraps of gratitude, but none of them can complain since if they don’t have Kai they won’t have any1 else to help them, they’re dependent of him despite also being terrified of him. They need the boss.

In the chapter it also shows that they aren’t allowed within 50m of him without feeling dread and sick (from the hole pollution,) but they just think it’s his power/mysterious aura, how Kai doesn’t show any emotions and they have to guess what he wants to please him, how they have to keep their mouth shut around him (?), and how they try to get him to be with them more often. Like kids trying to get their dad’s attention or something.

Even a scary smile from Kai is a blessing for them.

The ending was especially cute, after Kai killed people from En’s family, all the founding members offered him food. Saji offered him a homemade bento which I thought was the cutest<33 Ton offered chicken and I’m not sure what Tetsujo and Ushi had. But Dokuga offered him cabbage rolls (he also says that he isn’t sure if it tastes good because of his poisonous saliva.) Despite the others thinking the cabbage rolls didn’t look good, Kai chose to eat it, and he liked them the best.

It’s a sweet moment but at the same time not… *sob* *sob*
