Hail Mary, full of grace;the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God. Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, Amen.
honesty.
in truth i have always gravitated towards death magic, weather it be the veneration of my ancestors or my desire to work with santa muerte. as i have begun to deepen my relationship with mother mary i have found that our lady of sorrows fill that aspect of my practice easily.
in truth seeking out santa muerte was difficult and i just felt like she wasn’t interested in a spiritual relationship with me (i still respect her and will never disrespect her) but i kept trying to push a connection. i no longer feel the need.
our lady has inspired me, she. comes with so many aspects i seek to honor and understand. i feel that maybe at least for now. she is the only patron i need.
i have also found myself looking to christianity and undoing a lot of my regions trauma as a young queer. i have even found resources on christian mysticism that sound interesting.
consecration.
as the feast day of nuestra senora de guadalupe passes on the 12th i consecrated myself to our lady. this is the most spiritually inclined i have ever felt. i have been feeling this need to learn more and more and more about her. i gave her offering and she now has a mini-altar in my room since i have gotten a little statue of her.
i did smoke a little (as an offering of course) and wipe in my “enlightened” state managed to have an understanding of what to do moving forward. how to relate to her names of power and apparitions.
things are going pretty well idk

connecting to la santisima
i recently have begun to seriously study la santa muerte, in looking for iconography i was insanely attracted to gold imagery featuring her (fun cuz i am a silver girlie for life) i found that i kept coming back to this imagery. i consulted the cards about if i should connect specifically with the gold aspect of santa muerte and the cards gave an enthusiastic yes.
i have also learned how simply speaking aloud is very helpful in the craft i simply said “i wish to speak to santa muerte and no one else through these cards” and i got a very clear answer and i heard owls outside my window. (crazy i know, believe me or don’t)
in effort to connect more to her i have made this drawing by RAVI ZUPA ARTS my phone screen in a attempt to keep her close on a daily basis
also:
as it is December 3rd and the feast day of La Virgin de Guadalupe draws near i have begun a novena and plan to be consecrated on the 12th. She has been a great spirit to work with and one i greatly enjoy, i will be buying a figure of her to add to my very small altar soon.
more on tarot
in my growing practice i have been reconnecting with tarot, my relationship with it is different now as before i tried to use them for fortune telling, now i use them to speak with guadalupe and santa muerte and more for advice than prediction.
i was raised to fear tarot, despite the fact my family was known for having dreams of tarot that often predicted things. i had them as a child despite never having actually seen tarot. As i have been reconnecting to tarot i hope to have these dreams again. the last time i had a dream of tarot was about a year ago, my mother in the dream showed me the ace of pentacles (crazy because my mom wouldn’t touch tarot with a 10-foot pole) and i ended up finding a new and better job soon after.
notes on tarot
in my practice as of now i have begun to devote myself to la santa muerte and la virgen de guadalupe, in this i have spoken to them through tarot and have noticed things, and i just need to share them.
when i first tried witchcraft i was a naive teenager being edgy, but now as i have tried to connect with my mexican culture and ancestors i have been researching folk magic and folk catholicism.
doing tarot with these spirits i realize the answers are more clear and direct when i ask questions. la vigen certainly loves using them as i was able to get clear answers the second i began to reach out to her. santa muerte took more time but i got there eventually.
i’ve noticed they use very different cards to speak and what they refrence, la virgen uses predominantly wands and cups to speak through the tarot, while santa muerte prefers the pentacles and swords. they both love the major arcana cards and tend to do what i feel is “signing” their messages as i tend to the high priestess and death cards when i am speaking to each of them respectively.
i’ve also learned that you can somewhat upset them (not in a retaliation punishment way) i got an answer from santa muerte and kept reshuffling and trying to compromise and asked her if the compromise would work. she very sarcastically gave me the 10 of cups revered. shes funny like a mom would be ❤️
i’ve also seen that when i speak to both of them my answers include the lovers, and two of cups often appear, i don’t interpret this romantically, i interpret this as them showing they are both there. that they are both guiding me
THE DESCRIPTION OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE The Queen of Mexico, the Patroness of the Americas, the Patroness of the Unborn and the Celestial Patroness of the Philippines Feast Day: December 12
"¿No estoy yo aquí que soy tu madre?" ("Am I not here, I who am your mother?")
Guadalupe (La Villa de Guadalupe Hidalgo) is a locality in Mexico where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to St. Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin in December 12, 1531.
At dawn on the ninth of December, on his way to the church, he heard a lovely sound of birds and a gentle woman's voice calling him: 'Juan Diego… Juanito!'
Looking up the Tepeyac hill, he saw Mary shining like the sun and stepping over precious stones. She said to him: 'It is my earnest wish that a church be built here, where I could show all my love, compassion, help and protection.'
Immediately, Juan Diego reported the message to the bishop (Don Juan de Zumárraga y Arrazola), who did not believe.
In his distress, Juan Diego went back to the hill of the apparition and said to the Blessed Mother: 'My sweet lady, please, give this task to an important person, that he might believe, because I am so little and poor.'
Mary replied: 'My little child, tomorrow, go again to the bishop, and tell him that it was I who sent you.'
Juan Diego obeyed, and this time, the bishop asked for a sign.
Again, Mary appeared to Juan Diego, and told him to wrap all the roses he could find on the hill in a mantle (tilmàtli or tilmà), and to present them to the bishop. Then, as he opened the mantle to show the roses to the bishop, the miraculous image of the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared on it. Thus, the bishop decided to build a church in the place of the apparitions, where he installed the miraculous mantle with great honor.
Our Lady of Guadalupe became so popular that she was declared the Patroness of the Americas. Pope Pius XI declared Our Lady of Guadalupe as the 'Heavenly Patroness of the Philippines' on July 16, 1935, signed by Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Eugenio Pacelli (later rescinded).
Due to Mary's appearance as a pregnant mother and her claims as mother of all in the apparition, the Blessed Virgin Mary, under this title is popularly invoked as the 'Patroness of the Unborn' and a common image for the Pro-Life movement.

hi.
i’m new to studying and appreciating la santa muerte i was wondering if somewhat more ambiguous statues are acceptable for la santisima
i can’t practice openly and think i could pass these off as just goth decor if someone asks
