[ @fcndhearted ] Bruno wasn’t too sure how to approach his park date with Marian. He knew from speaking with his other girls, that things had... happened, and he knew that this was perhaps a sensitive time. That was partially why he had reached out to her - to get her out with him and have some time to unwind. He knew he was a good listener, and sometimes that’s all he needed to be. “So love,” He nudged their linked arms closer to his side. He turned to her, a backdrop of vast parkland behind them, “How have you been?”

[ @the-earlxkitspencer ] “Sometimes, you just gotta have a break and have a little shop, so no arguing over it, okay? You need a break.” Bruno always felt a little guilty when he watched how hard some of his friends and other Regalian’s worked. He wished he could do more, but if keeping them safe and offering them a little break every now and then was the best he could, then he’d continue doing it. It was just as important to protect ones health and mind, than fight the good fight. You would be no use to anyone if you were having a meltdown every week. “So; how’s your week been? Tell me all the exciting Earl-y things."

The man walked into the club with a brightness and a smile that could fill up the place, something Mickey definitely needed right now with how sucked up in work he had been lately. He smiled back at Bruno as he took the smoothie, nodding at him before he took a sip. “This is great, you’re a lifesaver literally. I think I missed lunch so this comes just in time,” said Mickey with a chuckle. He put all of his attention on Bruno as he sat down and told him about his day, pushing his papers aside, a sing that he was definitely listening to him and being completely interested. “Oh, don’t worry about the letter. Lately, they’ve just been taxes so the less bad news I receive, the better,” he said with a chuckle as he waved that off. “Wait, you got stuck? Gosh, that sounds awful,” he said as he looked at Bruno. “Goodness, you’ve had a week haven’t you,” said Mickey with a laugh. “Oh, well. Full of work, as you can see. And just, house hunting lately, so that’s new on my part.”

Bruno sipped at his own drink as he got comfortable, a leg moving up to cross over the other. He was always happy to help Mickey out, or give a simple kind gesture like bring him a drink. He worked such an awful lot, and he deserved to be given a break every now and then, even if he often refused to take one. “Oh, it wasn’t so bad. You know; big, tough firefighters coming to the rescue and all.” A playful grin lit itself on his features. A glimmer in his eyes had lit itself too, at the mention of house hunting. “Oh! You’re looking for a new house? How exciting!” The concrete jungle of New York often seemed to blur into itself through Bruno’s eyes, but when one paid attention there were hidden gems to be found. “Are you looking inner city, or somewhere a little.. quieter?”

Levi chuckled. “I mean, I guess squirrels only have so much to work with,” he replied with a shrug. At least most of the time they were entertaining. “Yeah, it’s pretty cool. And yep. Going to college and hopefully I’m going to be a park ranger when I’m done.” It was hard to say where he was going to go, though. New York parks were…a lot different than Denali. “You?”

“A park ranger?” With the vastness of America, Bruno figured being a park ranger anywhere here would be much more involved and intense than a park ranger in rural Scotland. He couldn’t help but feel a second-hand pride in the boys decision, though he barely knew him. He adored nature, and knowing someone else young wanted to get involved in it was a heart-warming reassurance. “Oh, I studied English at the University here. Just a post-man now. But park ranger sounds like the coolest job! Good luck with that.”

Ella adored her time with Bruno. It was always light, happy, and with everything going on, it was what she needed. He was sunshine on a cloudy day. She felt bad for him waiting for her, but if she was lucky it wasn’t for long. “I wish I was the one who looked adorable. have you looked in the mirror today, Bruno?” She grinned at him, taking his arm happily as they made their way inside their favorite place. “Do you know what kind of tea you want? I’m still debating if I wanna be adventurous with my flavors today.”

With their arms linked, Bruno opened the door for the girl before following inside. “I try my best.” He batted his lashes, one shoulder bobbing up with his playful tone.Heading to a table, he pulled up a chair for her and took up a seat opposite. “I’m missing a good old English brew, so no flavours for me today. Just a good old breakfast tea.” He hummed a sound that signalled his excitement for the taste. When the menu’s were offered, he was sitting resting his elbows against the table and leaning in over it. “Any reason? Or just feeling it today?

Oh good, so he wasn’t the only non-city boy around. That was nice. “Sure, but city squirrels are a different kind of stupid. These ones don’t have any sense. The suburban and rural squirrels just…aren’t good at timing when they run across a road.” At least, that’s what he’d noticed. “Uh, sort of. I was copying my notes from school, but I like drawing on my ecology notes.” The drawing wasn’t much, just a bear cub.

Bruno gave a small chuckle at the comment, his head bobbing in agreement. “City foxes? They have definitely evolved intellect wise, but squirrels? Where did it all go wrong?” His eyebrow quirked at the information about his studies. “Ecology? That sounds... really interesting.” He took a back step in his thoughts then, gesturing with his hand quickly. “ I didn’t mean for that to sound sarcastic. Like, it really does sound interesting. I forget American schools are generally way cooler than the ones back home. You studying at college or-?”

[ @misscendrillon​ ] Bruno thought it was politer to wait for someone outside of the place they were meant to eat, drink, or hang out together, and so he had been waiting for Ella outside the afternoon tea salon of their mutual choosing for a few minutes. Of course he had to be early to greet her, and not to mention he was feeling rather excitable these days and he was eager to spend some time with her. When he caught wind of the familiar blonde in the incoming flow of people crossing the streets, his smile was already there and beaming at her. A quick kiss to the cheek was his favourite friendly greeting, and when he pulled away he was looking her up and down to take in what his eyes could see of her clothing. “Oh wow, don’t you look adorable today, poppet? How are you?” He offered his arm out for her to take up before they enter the sweet looking tea rooms.

Mike had been taking a break from making phone calls when he looked up and spotted someone delivering mail. He couldn’t quite recall if he had seen him before or not. He could have. But, Mike tended to be wrapped up in his work pretty tightly and if he wasn’t then he was busy with Sully. He’d taken a long moment to look at him though. He was something to look at and he’d nearly missed the phone ringing because he’d been busy staring.

He snapped out of it on the third ring though and answered it. He took care of the phone call and managed to hang up a couple of minutes later to find that he was still waiting for his signature. His eyes met the his for a long moment. He had apparently looked and Mike found himself getting up and going over to say hello. 

What was the harm in saying hello? He couldn’t help himself. He was beautiful. He shook himself from his thoughts as he made his way over to the desk. “Hey, I’m Mike.” He said, almost tripping over the carpet but catching himself.

Maybe he was watching from the corner of his to see what he might do. He was walking over- Oh crap. He was walking over! His tongue was swiping along his lip in a small act of nerves, glancing back down at the office assistant fiddling with the delivery device to avoid looking over and seeming like an- something? He didn’t want to him to get the impression he was staring.

But he was close now and it made sense to look at the approaching figure, so he did, his lips curling up in a polite and friendly smile. When the man spoke to him, Bruno took a second to realise he was speaking to him and he should probably speak back. 

“H-Hi, Mike. I’m Bruno.” He pressed his hand to his chest in gesture; tsk, as though Mike wouldn't know who he was referring to. He wasn’t sure what to say next, but he was being interrupted anyway. He flicked his attention back to the receptionist, who was holding the device up - all signed and processed - towards him. He accepted it with a hurried, but polite ‘thanks’, before he was returning his attention back to the man.

This change in route that his now ex co-workers departure had brought about was a welcome one. Though he enjoyed strolling through the urban neighbourhoods, he also appreciated the change in scenery that delivering to city businesses brought. It also meant he got to see more people, and do more people watching. The same streets over and over again offered little change besides the new family moving in, or the renovation of a garden. One of his new favourite places to deliver to, was the advertising agency.

Everyone there was much warmer and welcoming than some of the other business buildings he had to deliver to, where a cold looking receptionist would stare at him with her grey eyes and grey hair, and click her tongue whenever he required a signature from her. The people here were fairly cheery and friendly though, and he the building was rather interesting to look at. So was, ahem, some of the people. 

Bruno briefly stepped aside to allow a man with a large box to pass him through the door first, before he was making his way with a light step to the front desk, a box tucked under his own arm and neatly bound together stack of letters in his other hand. He placed the letters onto of the desk of his thus far, favourite receptionist. He was about to speak, when behind her he spotted one of those... interesting to look at people. Oh crap- he’d met his eye. He was blinking quickly, and forcing himself to look back at the lady, whom was waiting quite patiently for him. “Morning- Uh, someone needs to, um, sign for this.” Don’t look back at him again, Bruno, don’t look- he looked.

“Okay, cool.” The fact he wasn’t getting yelled at was like heroin in terms of instant relief. “The squirrel wishes. I was working on a drawing and the idiot thought he’d be fine crawling on my lap for it.” Levi scrunched his nose. “City squirrels are really stupid.”

“Coming from the countryside, I have to agree with that. But mostly all squirrels are a bit stupid.” He offered the notebook out to him, though he was clearly trying to peak at it in an attempt to see the drawing. Not that he was nosey, but just curious. “You were drawing in the tree?”

It wasn’t uncommon to find Michael Mouse working at the club. Cleaning the tables, washing glasses at the bar, making sure everything was tidy and neat. The House of Mouse was the one thing he personally took care about, even if Oswald hired people to clean, even if they had people to take care of things like decorations and the performances. But still, Mickey was always there. Even serving drinks behind the bar when he wasn’t looking at the books with Oswald in his office. So when he heard the door opening, whoever walked in found Mickey going through some taxes before he looked up to see who was it.

“Oh hey Bruno, how have you been lately?” he asked with a smile as he turned around to face the man.

Bruno always had time for Mickey, and this week had given him a good few things to chat to the man about. He was practically skipping into the office, and holding out a drink offering to the man when he was greeted. “Thought you might like something to drink!” He chirped, taking a seat next the man and fishing out a letter - probably business related - and placed it besides Mickey. “I’ve been alright. This weeks been a kind of weird one. First of all I forgot a letter for you that got hidden in the bottom of my bag, so sorry about that. Don’t tell anyone or my manager will tell me off again.” He laughed lightly. “Then I got stuck in an elevator! And then I forgot to put the lid on my blender and painted the kitchen with a veggie smoothie. Took me a whole hour to clean it! How’s your week been?”

The second Tod heard a voice coming from the other side, he felt a wash of relief. Good. They were awake and alert, let alone, hearing their voices meant that things were rather okay. And no one seemed hurt. Yet. Todd and his rescue team worked hard to open the doors, once they got the go from his technician after he shut down the power and blocked the elevator where it was. And soon enough with their tools, they were able to open up the doors just a little before Todd worked to open them up even more. When they were completely opened, they realized that the elevator was only half visible, the lower part still under the floor.

Carefully, so no sudden moves or noises started, Todd slipped into the elevator, jumping in with the most care to not state anyone. “Hi, I’m Todd. Is there anyone hurt?” he asked the closest one who was alert, scanning the man quickly to check for any injuries but he seemed fine. “I’m going to need your help, okay? I need you to help get these people up and out so the other firefighters can take them to safety. We’ll be okay, the elevator is locked and won’t move.”

For a brief moment, when the door was pried open and a man entered, Bruno considered collapsing on the ground to coerce some firefighter rescue action on him, but he knew better than to cause trouble like that. He watched the man with a small daze over his senses, and probably his features too, before he was nodding quickly at the command directed towards him. “Oh-uh, yes, yes. This lady is a little fatigued- I think she might be dehydrated.” He offered his only helpful information, ensuring to keep a tight and close arm around the lady he had been helping prior. 

No one was injured, thankfully, but a little distress was panic had come over a few of them. He was sure they could all do with a bottle of water for this, and intended to take on board carrying one with him at all times; a learned lesson for them all for neglecting to consider their hydration until it was too late and water wasn’t readily available.

He’d…dropped his notebook from the tree he’d been sitting in. Again. Oops. Except this time, he’d heard an ‘ow’, or something like it. Double oops. Grimacing, Levi dropped from his place on a branch, and stood in front of whoever he’d dropped his stuff on. “My b, there was a squirrel being a total dick. You good?”

Attacked from above, Bruno was grimacing and reaching a hand in that instinctive way to the top of his head. The weapon; a notebook. He was looking up to no doubt the notebooks owner a moment later, and was relieved to hear he wasn’t being attacked intentionally. “Still in one piece, I think.” He crouched for the pad, brushing off any dirt and holding it aloft. “This the squirrels?” Huh, good looking lad.

Todd’s morning had gone by pretty uneventful, which was a rarity at times, even allowing him to go through paperwork inside his Lieutenant’s booth. And soon enough, the alarm went off, and before he knew it, he was jumping on his pants and boots and inside the truck. A stuck elevator with people inside, something that probably didn’t seem so much of an emergency. But the problem was that it was stuck on a rather high floor, the 30th to be exact, so anything happening could end up in a tragedy that he’d rather avoid.

Once they reached the doors, Todd was quick to move. “Fire Department, can anyone hear me?” he said as he pounded on the doors to check if the people inside were awake and alert. “I’m Lieutenant Todd Summers, we’ll get you out of there right away.”

Bruno had been given a slightly different route today that required him to head up a fairly tall apartment complex to deliver a signed for package. A colleague had called in sick, so he’d been asked to cover this shift. It was a fairly standard call, and so what he hadn’t anticipated was a thump in the elevator shaft that saw them himself and the three other occupants jolting in one direction, and promptly being locked in. One of the strangers, a fairly polite middle aged looking lady, had begun panicking almost immediately and Bruno had taken to comforting her as much as he could. It was just fine - the firemen were on their way - he assured her.

The new noise - there had been quite a few whilst they were in this metal container - was a much more welcome one than the clatter they’d heard not ten minutes prior. “Hello? We can hear you!” Bruno piped up, feeling a wash of relief come over him at the sound of a professional who could actually get them out of this. He was reluctant to admit it, but heights were definitely not something he was okay with.
