Klavier put his phone back into his pocket, before using a pocket mirror to fix up his hair a bit. He still had a bit of a bedhead right now, but hopefully he could make it look semi well kempt before his lover arrived.

He stood back, before taking a deep breath and letting out an almost ear-splitting yell.
“APOLLO JUSTICE IS DOING FINE!”
Cue the blond flinching a little at just how loud the other could be if he wanted to be.
“...I... I don’t know. I don’t think it will help much? Not for me, anyway...”
You could at least try though, you idiot.

Apollo wasn’t going to deny the man a hug. Even he needed a hug once in a while.
“Sometimes you’ve just got to stand back and say ‘I’m fine!’. It helps quite a lot, actually.”
“...You mean that slogan you always yell?”
Was he still doing that voice work out every morning? That’s some dedication.

“Well, there’s no use letting them go to waste! And gummy worms are adorable! So colorful and… painful to my teeth.”
The detective pushes his index fingertips together sheepishly. Maybe it had not been such a good idea to eat the worms. But he had been bored, and they were so colorful…
“...Why are you eating things that you deem so adorable?”
Wouldn’t it make more sense to keep them around? Maybe that’s why they got so old in the first place?
“Maybe you should make a dentist appointment then?”

Apollo didn’t even get a chance to finish his sentence before Klavier pulled him in for a tight hug. For a few moments he froze, unsure of what to do or how to react. He didn’t even get a chance to voice his confusion before his arms reacted for him, wrapping themselves around the prosecutor. The guy deserved it, for all the shit he’d been through lately.
“…Come on now. You’ll be fine.”
“...”
He was silent at first, not sure what to say exactly. Honestly, he just needed a hug right now- which is why he latched onto Apollo in the first place.
“Will I be?”
Klavier asked, his tone of voice rather unsure.

Apollo took a hesitant step forward, his fingers ghosting over his bracelet. Oh, he really couldn’t find fault with Klavier’s words, or actions. Kristoph was a monster, ruining lives as he went along his path. He tapped one finger against his forehead with thought, watching the prosecutor carefully as he sat down in a chair.
“…He’s meant to be locked up, not running free. What were you doing with him, Gavin?”
“I didn’t want to bother you with it.”
“Besides, he took my means of communication once he had me where he wanted me. Also, I felt like it was only fair for me to take the hit. I didn’t want him to hurt anyone else... He has already done enough bad shit.”
Sure, he might have been looking for the other to arrest him, but he should’ve gone with like, actual police? But hindsight’s always 20/20...

Apollo managed a soft smile back before heading over to the vending machine. He looked at it warily before selecting something he thought Klavier would like as well as a salted caramel bar for himself.
He then pushed the note into it, hoping his luck with this vending machine would be better than others he had encountered recently.
He smiled as the machine accepted the note, ‘Yes, justice has been served’, then winced as the two bars got wedged against the glass. Groaning he leant his head against the glass in annoyance.
Klavier would just wait for the other to return, since he hadn’t anywhere to go. He could barely walk anyway...
It definitely took the other longer than expected to get something from the vending machine though. Did something happen?

Apollo relaxed as the other offered to exchange the note. He nodded with a small smile. “Yeah, if you could exchange it… that’d be great.” He really was not in the mood for getting into an argument with a vending machine right now.
Klavier found a bill that matched the value of Apollo’s, and held it up for him with a slightly shaking hand.
“Here you go.” He said, smiling at him warmly.
This took me like 6 hours?? But @spacecamped and me are so deep into Clayvier atm that I just had to… Also, gave Klavier a nice side braid bcause fuck that drill hair–
ANYWAY I saw Romeo by Honeyworks and fell in love… Pose heavily referenced from one of the scenes in that pv!

Apollo’s hair drooped as he heard the other speak up. Pulling the note out he showed it to Klavier.
He then rubbed the top of his head with a slightly sheepish grin. “Oh he paid me,” for once, he added to himself, “but… I’m pretty sure I know what will happen if I try to put that in the machine…”
Thinking about it, it was quite likely it had got in this state by the courthouse vending machine because that was always playing up.
“Ah. You can still have some of mine if you want? Or exchange for one of mine if you really want to pay it yourself.”
He asked, reaching for the drawer of his nightstand and pulling out his wallet, searching for a note of the same value to give to the other.

Apollo made no outward reaction to hearing those words, but on the inside, guilt was slowly beginning to bubble up. Guilt, and anxiety. He could have done much more for Klavier, attempted to help him out, but without any proof for the rumours, not to mention keeping away from the eyes of his former mentor, he stayed away.
The lawyer took a deep breath. The prosecutor seemed tense, as if awaiting him to speak.
“So…your own brother. He did all this to you?”
“...”
He pondered for a bit, wondering if he should even say this, but... He’d find out if he was lying either way.
“It was either me or you or Mr. Wright. He couldn’t risk going for all of us though, I think, even if he had little to lose.”
Klavier fell silent after that, adjusting his crutches a little before moving over to his desk chair and slumping down in it.

“Really, it’s fine Klavier. I’ve got this…” Apollo insisted, opening his wallet and cringing at the one really screwed up note he had in it. Would the vending machine even accept it?
He glared at it, wondering how it had got into this state in the first place.
“Ah... Is everything okay? Did Mr. Wright forget to pay you this month?” He asked, half serious and half joking.
“You look like you saw a ghost.”
