Bryceâs smirk only grew in size when Cael spoke. She didnât take it as an insult, in fact it was one of the best compliments someone could give to her. She placed a hand over her heart, pursing her lips in feigned gratitude. âThatâs the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me.â She rolled her eyes as he shot back his retort, more in annoyance of her own looming bills and rent that she was reminded of whenever the word came up in conversation. To her, that meant nothing but being royally fucked at all times and always having money on her mind, what little she had. She never had that problem when she lived with her parents. They, of course, took care of her, but it was more than that. She was used to living in excess- or as much excess as one could have in Cleveland, Ohio. Of course, she had a whole other set of problem when she did live with them, so she didnât allow herself to dwell on that very long. Besides, she would rather die than give up her independence again, even if it did mean barely scraping by. At Caelâs slow clap, she flipped him off, rolling her eyes as she took a drag. âFuck you, Elfar. That was just a warm up.â She wasnât entirely certain how he would react to her jokes; she had always been rather vulgar and filthy minded, which would often show in her conversation given the fact that she also didnât possess much of a filter between her mind and her mouth. Some people, most of the people she was close with, didnât complain about it much, but it didnât make her any friends when she was younger. When he finally responded with a wink, she laughed, fanning herself. âOooh, donât tease me like that, Cael. Might have to take you up on that.â She nodded, bringing the cigarette back up to her lips for another drag. âOh, yeah, absolutely. Just more glitter, and different kind of rides.â
