I took my dog Nukers for a hike yesterday :) Mission Trails is dog friendly, as long as you keep them on a leash and clean up after them if needed. Things are warming up enough that it’s important to bring plenty of water for them as well as yourself. The white flowers at the side of the trail are buckwheat.

Anza Borrego State Park at sunrise - from my trip last Friday (3/10/2017). (Some of the smaller wildflowers can be seen if you click to check out the hi-res version)
I first posted these on philotheoristc but figured I’d keep the same thread going and just reblog them here.
Anza Borrego State Park from last Friday (3/10/17) - I took this between the Visitor’s Center and the trail head to Palm Canyon. The news said this spring was supposed to be one of the best for wildflowers since 2005. (I decided this would look better cropped than my previous version)

On my way to Palm Canyon in Anza Borrego State Park, I missed my turn - went a little too far and came across this (I had seen several other sculptures by artist Ricardo Breceda a bit earlier alongside the road). Here’s an article I found about the artist.
