Today, May 18, 2026, two teenage boys (Cain Clark, 17, and Caleb Vasquez, 18) shot up the Islamic Center of San Diego. Five were killed, including the perpetrators (suicide by gunshot).

Photos of perpetrator Cain Clark (who attended local Madison High School and was a former wrestler):

No photos of Caleb Vasquez appear to be available yet.

The perpetrators were found dead in the car, where anti-islamic writings were also found. Hate speech was also written on their firearms. Both perpetrators were wearing camouflage during the attack.

The victims of the shooting were three adult males: one security guard (Amin Abdullah) and two staff members.

The mother of one suspect (unstated) said her son was suicidal and had reported him running away with a friend. The son also left a note, but no details about the note have been released.
