December 3, 2014 marked the one year anniversary of the non-indictment of Daniel Pantaleo, the NYPD officer who choked Eric Garner, ignoring his last words "I can't breathe" Activist from @nyjusticeleague gathered outside Gracie Mansion to demand that Mayor Bill DeBlasio and Commissioner Bill Bratton fire Daniel Pantaleo immediately. About 20 protestors have been arrested. #ChokeHoldOnTheCity

The Black Student Union would like to recognize Medaille's Black Student Union, recipients of our Ujima Award. Ujima is the Swahili word for collective work and responsibility. Their organization has continuously supported all organizations at UB, and blazed the trail since their founding on September 14th of this year. Thank you.
