I haven’t seen anybody talking about this part of BNHA season 6 episode 6 yet:

Katsuki is saying he “doesn’t want to lose to Deku” here, as expected from the proud hard-worker he’d always been, but when you look back at this scene from the context of chapter 364:

Somewhere along the way (or EVEN back then) to Katsuki, it wasn’t a matter of wanting to “win” against Izuku, but whether he is strong enough to stand WITH him. And after this war arc, he will get left behind yet again when Izuku goes off on his own...

Also it just broke my heart all over again, when it’s spelled out that Katsuki himself already KNEW since they were interning with Endeavor that his own power fell too far behind Izuku’s One for All. Katsuki may be loudmouthed and egotistical but it has long been established that he’s smart, logical, and attentive especially when it comes to Izuku.
