Vajdahunyad vár, in the city park, is an amalgam of building styles representing Hungarian architecture throughout the centuries. Like so many other buildings in Budapest, it was built in 1896 as part of the millennium celebration. (at Városliget)

What's your favorite coffee shop in #budapest? As we've written on the blog, our vote for best espresso goes to @thegoatherder.hu, but there are myriad great options in town! (at The Goat Herder - Espresso Bar)
Beautiful buildings. (at Budapest, Hungary)
Didn't catch this guy's name, unfortunately, but he gave an incredible Cyr wheel performance the other day in Heroes' Square. Anyone know who this is? (at Hősök tere)

I could stare at Hungarian buildings all day long and never get bored. (at Budapest, Hungary)
Szabadság híd (Liberty Bridge), which links Buda and Pest, was opened in 1896, nearly 50 years after the Széchenyi lánchíd (Széchenyi Chain Bridge). The idea of turning Liberty Bridge into a pedestrian-only bridge has been discussed often; even now, several times throughout the year, the bridge is closed to traffic so Hungarians and visitors can walk across and even picnic on the wide-open bridge. One of the many enjoyable sights of #Budapest are the places where the modern mixes with the antique. Overall, the city has a comfortable, historical feel, punctuated here and there by the clean lines of structures like this @bkkbudapest metro entrance at Rákóczi tér.⠀ ⠀ #budapesthungary #thisisbudapest #iloveyoubudapest #ig_budapest #ig_hungary #ilookup #archdaily #publictransportation #beautyofbudapest #momentsinbudapest #welovebudapest #budapestbound #budapestagram #hungary (at Budapest, Hungary)
The Széchenyi thermal bath, opened on 16 June 1913 in City Park, is among the largest medicinal bath complexes in Europe. It was designed in the Neo-baroque style by Hungarian architect Győző Czigler. The complex's 21 pools are fed by thermal springs that provide 1.6 million gallons of water daily. (at Széchenyi fürdő)
