did i disappear for a full year? yes. does that change my commitment to the gay firefighters. absolutely not.
buck not walking maddie down the aisle just doesnāt sit right with me
#evan buckley but it's just him progressively getting more unhinged over eddie
#another reason to hate Fox
buck + gay shit going down in his kitchen
finally.
we could have been⦠us.
#i live there
crowley shifting into protective husband mode
crowley letting himself admit that all he really wants is to be with aziraphale without the pressure of heaven and hell, and realising that given the choice, aziraphale would pick heaven over crowley, when crowley himself picks aziraphale over everything else
good omens giving me everything i wanted in the most devastating way possible is so very fitting
i finished good omens s2.
i have never felt heartbreak like this
i lead a simple life. i see a traumatized fictional man and i want to call him babygirl
āA toothbrush?ā Hen repeats, eyebrows high and tone extremely dubious.
āA toothbrush,ā Eddie confirms.
āYour girlfriend broke up with you because of a toothbrush?ā Ravi clarifies, heās not the only one seeking that clarification either, Eddie can tell he beat Chim to the question only because he didnāt have his mouth full.
āYes,ā Eddie confirms (again), sounding a little more disgruntled this time about it.
Chim finally swallows his mouthful to ask, āIs this like a metaphor?ā
Eddie shrugs. āI donāt know.ā And he doesnāt, thatās the thing. Heās got no damn idea why a toothbrush (of all things) had Marisol breaking things off before theyād even really gotten started.
āIām going to need more than this,ā Hen says. āWhat kind of toothbrush?ā
Exasperated, all Eddie can say is, āI donāt know - a toothbrush.ā
āI mean,ā Chim says thoughtfully, ādid she not like the colour? Were the bristles too hard? Maybe it wasnāt about the toothbrush but the toothpaste on the brush - do you have weird toothpaste taste?ā
That earns Chim a confused look from everyone but he just shrugs which Eddie finds fair because he honestly doesnāt know. āI donāt have weird toothpaste,ā Eddie defends.
āI like your toothpaste,ā Buck announces, dropping down into the chair beside Eddie. āWhy are we talking about Eddieās toothpaste?ā
āWeāre talking about Eddieās toothbrush,ā Hen clarifies and even as she does, she looks like she canāt believe thatās a sentence sheās found herself saying.
āEddieās toothbrush?ā Buck repeats, sounding just as confused as when he thought they were talking about toothpaste.
āNot my toothbrush,ā Eddie groans. āIt wasnāt even mine!ā
āWait,ā and this comes from Bobby who looks as though he canāt believe heās joining in this conversation, āMarisol broke up with you because of Christopherās toothbrush?ā
āMarisol broke up with you?ā Buck says, āSorry man.ā
Eddie waves off Buckās words, heās not all that broken up about it honestly, just genuinely stuck on how a toothbrush could possibly be reason enough to break up with someone. āNo it wasnāt Chrisā toothbrush, Jesus.ā
āIām so confused,ā Buck said.
āMe too,ā added Ravi.
But Hen, Hen had a look on her face and there was a note in her voice he couldnāt identify as she asked, āWhose toothbrush was it?ā
āBuckās.ā
And Eddie has no idea why that is suddenly explanation enough for everyone.
Well except Buck.
Ok so I'm not even upset that the couch metaphor wasn't about Eddie. But I am a little upset that they did all that work with the symbolism of the couch and how Buck needed to find his own agency, only to then turn around and tie it back into yet another person outside of Buck himself. Make it make sense
put my thoughts regarding the finale in my drafts because I don't feel like acknowledging it. live in denial besties <3
