idr how this came up but we were talking about how god-awful the third ED is and decided we should just replace Winry with Scar. I don't draw on model very often but it really was necessitated for The Bit. So here he is.

The "mmmm but also From" of it all is the only thing that keeps me from committing to this (extreme, I get it) idea entirely. The wrestler intro gets the pass from me because it respects my time enough not to spend more than 15 seconds pulling me from my interfacing with the game's systems. It's rarely an exposition monologue, and I can appreciate its spectacle even if I haven't been following along with the optional lore. A little hype treat for the main event.
I recently made the arguable mistake of playing Outer Wilds and BG3 at more or less the same time, which is absolutely coloring my thoughts. One of these games is a puzzle box with none of the traditional signposts for A Story Game. The other desperately wants me to care about its characters and world events, but can offer little more than breathy, context-free exposition monologues and cutscenes that ultimately have very little to do with how I interface with the game. One moved me to tears (which is really a once-a-year-at-best thing for me and a piece of media), and the other I'm struggling to care enough to finish.
I'm cautiously excited about our blossoming understanding of what character and setting and narrative means in an interactive medium.

Credit to @budgebuttons for the Lust art - fulfilled a dream of 16+ years this weekend because the FMA03 server motivated me to meet Travis and Laura at my local con. Really wild to go from watching them in con videos in 2007 to letting them know I run an 03 appreciation server and have been a fan for close to 20 years!!!
so @combustiblegarbage enters the group chat on chewsday like "guys I'm meeting Laura Bailey at a con on Saturday I need something for her to sign" and I took this as a Challenge from God. it is now Thursday.
