I have to keep reminding myself it’s called “doing the work” for a reason. It’s not EASY to awaken. It’s not easy to transcend patterns of thought that your mind has built up as a coping mechanism over 24 years. It’s not going to change overnight or after meditating for a week, a month, even a year. It’s going to be hard and sometimes I will be disillusioned but I will keep at it so in 20 years I can thank myself for building a beautiful, strong foundation.
