Talon was born Alyssa Justine in May of 1989. He was a fairly happy child but never felt like the body he was born with was the right one, the one he belonged in. Although he never felt like his body was his own, he was unable to transition due to the people in his life. 26 years in the wrong body, Talon has finally decided to take matters into his own hands and do what he needs, to feel whole. With a lot of back lash from his family, this process has not been a good experience. Talon legally changed his name a couple months ago and both of his parents freaked. There are not many people that have really acknowledged his new name, making his circle of people he trusts, very small. Talon has thought long and hard about having top surgery and he has decided that he would like to get it started. There is a lot that has to be done in order for him to be complete. Talon has no idea that I am starting a GoFundMe. I had brought it up a couple of weeks ago but he refused saying “I don’t want to beg for money”. I don’t think that this is begging for money. Top surgery is very expensive, there is no way we can do this alone. I am making this in hopes that there are people out there that have at one time felt like they didn’t belong and maybe they had a person to turn to, to ask for help. Talon doesn’t have that, Talon’s support system is very sparse. I have put $12,000 as a goal because that is an approximate cost from the surgeon he would like to go see. A surgeon who specializes in female to male surgeries. This man has come very much recommended. I want the best for the love of my life. I don’t want to have to watch him struggle with uncomfortable chest binders for the rest of his life. I don’t want him to be stuck in the house forever, wishing he looked flatter. Talon is the most wonderful man, the sweetest, most caring human being I have had the pleasure of having in my life. I want him to be happy. All donations will go to his surgery and helping him get to California. Anything left will be donated to the foundation of his choosing.
