About:

We are the snowdrift system! We run a variety of stimblogs, many of which are for specific special interests we have, such as @snowdin-stims for original gifs, @cure-sensory for magical girls, and @snowys-stim-cafe for everything!

We also own the now inactive @stimmy--cryptid, @hermitcraft--stims, and @voca-stims

You can call us snowdrift, and we collectively use they/fey/bun pronouns! We're an autistic DID system and a wheelchair user!

Rules:

This blog in particular is a build a bear centered stimblog! Any and all build a bears are free to request, as well as other build a bear merch if you want a stimboard for a specific outfit/sound/scent etc.

Please don't request non build a bears!

Please don't request anything with water slime, chalk, or medical needles/medical supplies! Everyday medical supplies like bandaids, and all forms of mobility aids are always allowed! Medical toys are also ok!

Don't worry about including the year or exact name of your bear in a request, unless you're looking for a specific variation of a bear that got remakes (for example: specify that you want 2010 Keroppi if thats the one youre looking for), otherwise I default to the most recent or most popular!

Standard criteria: racist, sexist, ableist, (no)map, antisemetic (including supporting antisemetic crestors like jk rowling or p-wdiepie), proship, radqueer

Transphobic: terf/swerf/radfem/gender critical, trumed, anti neopronouns, anti nonbinary, anti mogai, "nonbinary skeptic"

Hey this isn't a request, but I was wondering if you could recommend me some build a bears to get? I'm currently homeschooled and my dad said I could get one if I finish all my work by the end of this week. Here's what I'm looking for:

-Cats, bunnies, or dogs! Either is fine

- If they're rainbow, I don't want it to cover their whole body, I only want their patterns to be rainbow.

-Probably something Valentine's day related? Or pink/red color pallete

-I want both recommendations of ones that stand on two legs, and ones that stand on four.

- I'm also looking for ones that are light pink or baby blue, no bright pink or blue.

i tried to find bears specifically listed for sale on the website, cuz im guessing by the sounds of it youre looking to go in and buy someone in store or order a bear online and take them to the store to stuff? here's what i found that i think could work:

the wild hearts leopard (left) and groovy hearts pawlette (right) are the first that came to mind since they overlap cat/bunny, valentines, and pink+red! they are a bit bright, esp the leopard, but if youre open to the brighter patterns for the valentines day themeing they could be a good option

for a general cat or bunny bear, the current promise pets cat (left) or classic pawlette (right) could be good! there may also be a promise pets dog in stores atm, but im not sure which one is currently out </3 the website has a few options but theres generally only 1-2 differnt promise pets in stores at any given time so im unsure

there's also the red roses kitty for a valentines themed cat!

for pastels, theres the popular pastel swirls kitty (left), the beary fairy cat (mid), the pink swirls bear (right)

there's also a couple solid colored pastel blue and pink bears that are online exclusive if youre open to online shopping, otherwise, most if not all of these bears *should* be in stores.

there are unfortunately fewer pastel options than there used to be </3 i know of some cute older bears that might be kinda what youre looking for, but ofc none of them are in stores anymore, so the valentines options are brighter and pastel options arent themed to anything in particular.

but i do think one of these guys could be a good fit. as always, i think its best to pick your little guy out by just seeing who stands out to you/clicks with you most, and it might not be any of these! either way i hope this list was helpful for figuring out who u might wanna take home :3

mild life update as to why we havent been posting:

its been a rough month for us! we went on a study abroad trip in the very beginning of the year and then the airline proceeded to Not Only not give us our luggage, but also, Not give us our wheelchair. we've been fighting to get it back for literally the past month and it FINALLY arrived at our house today. only to be. Broken. the adjustable arm rest is stuck as high as it can go bc the part to adjust it has been snapped clean off. the side was also entirely unaligned and we had to snap it back into place. so. not doing so great </3

on top of that, our laptop broke at the end of last semester and we havent been able to get a new one because of the cost </3 so things have been a bit slower in the editing department considering tumblr mobile seems to make it more and more difficult to post with every new update /hj

Hopefully it wont cost too much to repair our chair and Hopefully we'll be able to get a new laptop soon if our plan to have enough saved by the end of the month works out, and then we'll be back in the swing of things

in the meantime during all of this, we've really only had the motivation to make things special interest related on our other stim blog, which is why there's been no bab boards in a while

although on an unrelated note, we may be opening art comissions soon via ko-fi if anyone would be interested! ofc, bab comissions would be an option <3

hard to say tbh. i think the one we're most attached to out of who we actually own is either kuromi (2023, we got her when the first wave came out before the head was factory stuffed so shes extra squishy) or pumpkin kitty (2008, the earliest bear we remember making). visually i like any of the wintery ones, the snowflake bear i cant remember the technical name or year of rn is a long time fave. for both wintery reasons and sentimental reasons, rudolf and clarice from ~2008-2010 (off the top of my head) and frosty with light up cheeks (~2010ish) are also high on our list

he reminds me of pumkin' the pumpkin beabie baby which is also one of our top favorite beanie babies bc theyre both just circles with faces, arms, and legs. its like. the easiest possible plushie design and it charms me every single time i see it theyre just so goofy and cute and squishy. im not even into baseball
