I know I’ve been super inactive on this blog and that is for a lot of reasons! BUT I STARTED A RP GROUP YOU SHOULD CHECK IT OUT!

then magically i was able to draw something.
*Insert “I tried” star here lol* First I draw a sketch, then make a new layer underneath it and fill the skin with 1 solid color. Then I combine light (green in example) and dark (blue) shading that you can see applied in the bottom left. I always keep the brush on 50% density/opacity. After that I merge the sketch and color layers. Then I draw/paint on that same layer, blending the sketch and colors together by colorpicking colors that I’ve already put on the skin and erasing (70% density) some of the edges. Aaand I pretty much always add rosy cheeks because I think they’re adorable! Obviously the final skin image isn’t completely finished, but basically just keep refining and adding more small details until you’re happy with it!
I got real lazy with her weapon later when I’m less lazy I’ll draw it up nicely, cause its actually a whip blade, but again I was lazy so I just drew da normal whips lol.

I commissioned queans line art of my oc Anabel. Here is the original post of lineart. I asked if I could color the lineart, and she said yes! She gave me an opportunity to experiment with color. I had a lot of fun!
