For an iron ore mine in Brazil owned by Vale, Thyssenkrupp Fördertechnik is manufacturing a mobile crushing and conveying system used for excavated material. Numerous drive functions must be realised on the mobile crusher. The entire project includes 54 drive packages that are used for various drive tasks on the system. Fortescue Metals Group has celebrated first ore through the company’s second train unloader in Port Hedland. Transfer Point Upgrades raise Throughput, reduce Dust
The terminal operator Kinder Morgan has announced completion of a load-out hopper and four belt conveyors carrying 1500 tonnes per hour of mineral ore concentrate, complete with five transfer points that comply with the company’s “zero spill” principle. The new transfer points provide the benefits of minimising aeration and preventing buildup within the chute.
