PACIFIC RIM AU: Chuck’s arm, broken in the fight with Leatherback, leaves him unable to carry out the mission to attack the breach with his father. After the detonation of Striker Eureka’s payload that kills both Herc and Stacker, and the subsequent closing of the breach by Mako and Raleigh, Chuck disappears among the chaos of celebration.

No one in the Jaeger program sees him again. He lives alone with Max, trying to come to terms with the fact he’s the reason both his mom and dad are dead.
