5 Tips to Creating Your Own Peronal Brand

It is not as hard as you think! All you need to do is a couple of things to get your feet on the group and go running. After creating my first brand I would:

- immediety find something you are pasionate

- pick your audience/find your ideal persona

- Choose what message or service you want to give to your audience

- Create a content calendar

- Find other people that might have the same pages or goals as you to build off one another

Over the last two months of building my own personal brand, is trying to pair up my brand and reposting other brands really increased my following. As well as useng user specfic hastags towards my brand and others that were similar. Another bug thing about creating your own brand is that you want to be pubic. Being public can increase traffic with those that do not even follwo you whe someone of your faolwlling repsots a post and they decide to click on it. 

Don’t wait to start! I started from scratch so can you :)

Day in the Life of a Student-Athlete

For this weeks post on @bulldogrookie we had one of my very own teammates on the men’s swim and dive team record videos of his day as a swimmer. Some of the things that he included in the videos on #instagram were:

- food

-practice times

-classes

-recovey

-social time

-sleep

Having the opportunity to be immersed into a life of a #student-athlete gives those around a better understanding and differetn view point. It is more interactive and all around better than reading an article and trying to imagine what happens next.

Everyone Fails

The biggest part about being a student-athlete was swallowing the large pill of your body changing, the workouts changing, and having more chances of failing before succeding. 

Being a #beginner to college athletics is a huge adjustment with your living sitation, time management, and dealing with different individuals. Anxiety levels could be high but people like @victoriagarrick can be very helpful with the stress levels of being a student athlete. By creating @thehiddenopponet:

- advocating for student athletes

- normalizing talking about your problems

- knowing that you are not alone with your feelings

Knowing that everyone you is adjusting even throughout their four years of college and that professcional athletes fail as well can be more comfortating to new student-athletes at the college level.

How to on Tumblr:

As a first-time user of the social media platform Tumblr there was a lot to figure out. As a first-time user clicking around and scrolls through the pages you can see what exactly you are looking for. 

The goal of Tumblr is to pinpoint each one of their users. This includes, having user that want to write out how they are feeling, post photos that represent their feed, retweets, GIFs, or even videos that you can find or take yourself and post.

The most helpful thing from Tumblr so far is that you can go to the search bar and look through the tags for the topics that you want to post about and want to see on your feed. 

Tumblr allows me to range from blogs to look alike Instagram posts as well as taking things straight from Facebook and Twitter. This is a great social media platform to get all sorts of variety, that allows me to repost important content relating to my idea customer or viewer. As well as designing my page the way I desire. 

Tumblr allows you to be as you please, be private or public and choose your own settings as you desire. The flexibility and creativity that Tumblr gives you is what makes this social media platform so fun and easy to run!
