one of the best feelings tbh
has anyone noticed that after the porn ban of 2018 tumblr was essentially killed from the mainstream and everyone flocked to other social media sites like twitter and meta. then those sites got enshittified to where twitter became Nazi Central and meta sites had an entire meme around getting “zucced” aka mark zuckerberg himself would ban you for saying a no-no word like fuck. and then the mainstream shifted to tiktok where infamous toddlerspeak sentences like “he got unalived by a pew pew” were born because if you once again say a no-no word like kill or gun or any other word that isn’t corporate i mean kid friendly then the algorithm will bury your post into the ground. and somehow we’ve come full circle and tumblr is now the most bearable social media site because although we can’t have female presenting nipples we can at least talk to each other like adults. has anyone noticed that at all or is it just me and the flaming skull

this is what I'm fucking talking about
this is the world public transit aficionados want.
We need to keep making 9/11 jokes until some corporation tries to jump in on the meme and gets promptly executed by the public
Saw a sad wet beast at the grocery store today
@atomicc OP i am an inconsolable mess over this beast
i had to draw this beautiful creature, they captured my heart. i love them.
Mast*rbation is just socially acceptable stimming.
Being neurodivergent is all fun and games until neurotypical people want you to stop being yourself, then it's a game that you lose everytime and cant figure out why
Dude, I'm autistic. We (those of us who speak) generally tend to say what we mean, without any hidden extra meanings.
If you can't take my words at face value, if you're going to insist on assigning extra meanings to my words that I never intended, then attack me over what you've decided I must have meant, and over your unfounded assumptions, we're not gonna get along, so once that shit starts, it's a block.
autism feeling when you have a vague sense that people might be treating you weird and you're like They See Me As Something Other and Weird and Not An Equal... they might not know you're autistic specifically but it doesn't matter ....They See Me Like A Child or Perhaps An Animal That Can Talk. amused by my attempts at normalcy and interaction but ultimately dismissive of me as Something Unlike Them
i step outside with a cup of coffee and every winged insect in a mile radius materializes like please please please can i drown in there let me die in that cup i'll be OK i promise just let me experience the surface tension i need it

Things I did as an undiagnosed autistic child (other than struggling with social interaction/making friends):
Monotone voice, so I read books out loud to practice vocal tone.
Repeated movie conversations for the same reason.
"You don't look approachable." Turns out, you're supposed to make facial expressions even when sitting by yourself (??). Blank expressions are still my thing. I'm still called unapproachable.
Wandering away when bored or overstimulated. The school did not like this approach.
Parallel play!!! Best time ever.
Scene playing, where I'd set up my toys in the scene in my head and then leave the toys alone. The set up of the scene was the playing. No interaction required.
Hating certain cartoons because it frequently used a noise I disliked or was visually displeasing to me.
Phobias around what I now know is sensory overload, such as having meltdowns in public toilets due to the noise.
Feeling ill and needing a nap after school due to sensory overload.
Escaping to quiet rooms, even in other people's houses.
Obviously, any kid can do these things and not be autistic. But, for me they certainly were related to my autism.
