Resurrected this old “no time to do it anymore” blog to share the recipes from this afternoon’s failsafe toddler food Cookery afternoon. Thanks so much for bringing along the food and recipes. Really fun and sunny afternoon! Well fed kids tonight.
Egg & Sardines Mexican Recipe (Mercy’s recipe)
Eggs + whole sardines, mixed together then pan fried as either scrambled egg or omelette, traditional Mexican recipe
Giant Couscous - traditional Maltese recipe (Josie’s recipe)
Giant couscous cooked (simmered) with onion, bouillon then broad beans and frozen peas added.
Pasta with Broccoli (Sarah’s recipe)
Pasta cooked + pesto and cooked broccoli stalks
Tuna fish cakes (Clare’s recipe to follow)
Fast Banana Pancakes (Alison’s recipe)
Small Wholemeal tortillas, spread with cream cheese, a whole banana and blueberries drizzled honey, rolled then lightly fried in a pan til sealed and toasty, cut into portions.
Semolina Squares (Fam’s recipe)
Cook semolina with cinnamon and cardomon pods, add in sultanas. When cooked, put into a tin or tub and leave to cool til it hardens a little then slice into squares.
