In the first drafts of the script, dani's story would involve visiting a lake and using a boat to get there. Sal was going to be there and that was how players would run into it. We never fleshed out the idea more because it didn't fit into the themes of the beauty and beast way dani's route went.
But he'd be a sort of design between a fisherman/lighthouse keeper with a bad back and an unbalanced gait. He would live on that island and be friends with the animals there and also good friends with Angie and Dani who would visit him often.

Since his off his therapy and medication for depression he is even more dead inside, depressed and every now and then wants to end himself.
