i did a bit of research on the band Nocturnal Me 2day :0

Nocturnal Me was formed in 2009, and consisted of Dave Melillo (front man), Jeff Czum (guitarist), John Viavattine (bassist), and Michael Lasaponara (drummer).

the band was created in 2009 after Shaant hacikyan (frontman of Cute Is What We Aim For) announced he was going solo. Dave and Jeff announced shortly after that they had left the band, and were forming nocturnal me.

the two pictures at the top are 3 of the 4 members- i know for sure that dave (in the middle of both pics) and jeff (on the right in first pic, and left in second pic) are in this photo, but im not positive on who the other guy is (either john viavattine or michael lasaponara)

and the third photo is dave melillo (left) and jeff czum (right)

nocturnal me has one EP titled Two Faced

and a single titled love is a lie

they have a self titled EP as well, however it is only available on apple music and last.fm.

from what i can see, they stoped being active in 2011. i will forever be devastated that bands like this no longer exist, but i hope one day they come back.

this is the only pressing of this album that is still available for purchase. (on merch bar)

-There is a total of 4 different pressings for this album. hot pink/sea blue SPLIT with grey splatter, hot pink/sea blue SWIRL with black and white splatter, ice clear with hot pink/sea blue and black SPLATTER, and the silver.

ive been on the hunt for the other variants of this vinyl, however its pretty darn hard to find them LOLz.

if you are unaware of Dave Melillo-

he was cute is what we aim fors guitarist (2007-2009). and also former lead guitarist of Anarbor

he also writes music, and helped write many songs on ciwwafs most recent release, Rotaion. Dave also has helped artists such as Leslie Mosier and Set it Off.

-Dave Melillo also has a side project band with ciwwaf member, Jeff Czum. The band was called Nocturnal me, and their first release was in 2011. they haven’t released anything since, but i think they’re really good so def check em out if you like cutes music!!

ALSO doing more digging i found Dave has 2 soundcloud platforms- both titled Dave Melillo. On one he has all of his spotify uploads, but the other has a ton of old demos that never made it on albums.

i really think Dave Melillo is insanely talented, and its such a shame that these songs are lost to time. each of his lyrics are so powerful and you can tell he put a lot of meaning into them.

i dont think theres really a big community of people who listen to ciwwaf, so im mostly posting for me :)!

ive been listening to cute since about 2020, and they have been my favorite band for a long time. my fav song is moan i really resonate with it :)

ive done lots of digging about the band, and like to think i know almost everything about them… lol!

so if anyone is seeing this and wants to learn about them im ur gal !!
