Hi Maja. I haven't been here for a while, but I had some time yesterday and I was scrolling through all of the Chris posts and something I have been thinking about for a while floated back up to the surface….
Yes it's a rabbit hole, but this is Hollyweird and the rules they live by are not like ours....
Not sure if you remember, but Chris made a comment after his relationship with Jenny, that you can't have a child without the relationship or something like that... and ever since this whole debacle came up…. I have been thinking…. maybe this is EXACTLY what he is doing….
We knew he had gotten to the point where he was tired and deeply wanted to build a family.... It was obvious to everyone! I think after Jenny on some level he may have given up on his idea of perfection and decided to get it however he can....
I can't see a baby being fake…. his reputation is already in the trash…. but a fake child??? Can't see it…. it's not impossible, just can't see it.
BUT all of this being faked so he can have the image of a family man in the public domain, while having a real child…. in Hollyweird… makes sense. And she will do exactly what she does now… pop up now and again to stir up something, get paid, then disappear…
Let's be honest.... she is perfect for it. They will divorce eventually under some pretext and he gets to be heartbroken and a single father and she gets some time in the spotlight now and again...
In that context, it all makes sense... even the surrogate rumours.. knowing the world they operate in ... she really doesn't even have to be the biological mother.... just the one in the limelight.
When something is important to you, you protect it.... those were his exact words....
He gets to protect his child and whoever is the biological mother and she gets all the spotlight she wants....
An arrangement.... a very, very messy arrangement, but an arrangement nonetheless....
I mean, I also agree that there has to be a baby. Like, that's not something they can fake. When we talk about another human being, they can't just make people forget about her or never bring her up again if they are going to separate. So I don't think faking having a child is a possibility, or that it was just fake news, because I think his team would've let the world know if it was.
Obviously, we don't know anything about the circumstances, and I don't even want to get into them. But I think it's better if we prepare that they might actually be a real couple, that that's a possibility. I mean, it always should've been since the beginning. That obviously doesn't mean they are deeply in love with each other; I mean, even if they are truly together (i still have my doubts), I don't think they are head over heels for each other. I don't think they truly love each other. Chris gets the family he wanted, and she gets to live a comfortable life while getting free press as well.
I do think that this whole thing, just like you said, is solely about him wanting to have a family and settle down. While I understand his issues and that he felt like he was running out of time, I think all of this was probably the worst idea ever. Not just because of the kind of people they are, but I think it's so visible he is not that into her. Whether she is the mom or not, I don't think this is the family he imagined for himself. He got what he wanted, or the things he thought he wanted, but at what price? The fandom is in shambles, and he is allegedly married and has a child with someone he doesn't even seem to love. I think he should've waited a bit longer, and maybe someone he actually loved and would've been able to build an actual family and legacy with would've come into his life.
