Pitch: I’m going to ignore you now, but you must be used to that by now.
So then Jack’s face saddens when he said this and all of a sudden you hear Bunny like “PITCH” So he comes down from where he was standing with the other guardians and runs after Pitch but what I CAUGHT is that he like grabs Jack pulling him back! He like goes in front of him and protects him because he felt for him. HE WANTED TO PROTECT HIM.

It’s interesting because Bunny had just been commenting on Jack’s lack of believers the scene before, but it’s different now that Pitch has said it. It’s difficult for me to explain, but I think this arm grab just shows their dynamic really early on, like Bunny feels as though he’s the only one allowed to banter with Jack because of their history, whereas Pitch has no right. I dunno, I’m not good at explaining it, I just like that arm grab.
It’s like how I used to pick on my brother when we were little, but if anyone else picked on him, I raised holy hell. It’s kind of a “No one’s allowed to pick on him but ME!” mentality.
I have found old Bunnymund again!

ROTG Anniversary: Day #5
19th - THE BOOKS Have you read the Guardians of Childhood books? Who is your favorite character? What part was your favorite? What do you think the Golden Age and it’s people looked like? Base your creations around the books!
Oh yes. I’ve read the books.
Favourite character? Bunny/Bunnymund, overall. I love Jack in the movie and I’m very fond of Katherine and Ombric too.
Favourite part from the books?: Bunnymund in any conversation with North or Ombric. Katherine talking Bunnymund into helping them is pretty amusing as well.
The Golden Age: I would like to spend more time doing some world building relating to the Pooka. I’ve seen others do interesting things, but it’s mostly been based on movie Bunny and not book Bunnymund. I think Bookverse Pooka would be much more controlled, valuing stability but also innovation. A balance of mind and body, intelligence and strength. There’s a reason they were a force to be reckoned with as a species. It would be fascinating to see a Pooka from the Golden Age arrive in the now and be in complete culture shock, dumbfounded at just how native Bunny has gone (because book Bunnymund and Bunny are very different people). Bunny would probably be both thrilled and mortified.

I will never leave this fandom! Even if I’m not on tumblr much anymore cause my life is just too nuts (and so is tumblr of late), I will always love ROTG and the Jackrabbit ship!

What the guardians did for me
HAPPY THREE YEARS ROTG!
Wow I can’t believe it. This movie means so much to me honestly. During the time this movie was announced, I was in a tough spot in my life. I was depressed and bitter and lacked a lot the joy in my life I once had. I lost my since of belief in pretty much anything.
But as soon as I saw a trailer pop up on @maggins blog (which I followed even before I had a tumblr) I was instantly fixated. The movie looked stunning and soon I was hooked. Soon after I joined the fandom early on. We were a tightly knit fandom family. I loved it. Bit by bit I started to open up and make friends and feel that once extinguished flame in my heart re-lit. Granted around then I was still socially in the dark and felt very much alone off the internet. But I was starting to become happier and more full of life. By the time the movie was released, I made many friends and was even helping captain the SweetTooth ship. I was full of life and beyond happy. Jack, Bunnymund, Tooth, North and Sandman all brought a smile to my face even in the toughest time in my life. William Joyce, thank you for creating these amazing characters. Your books and this movie gave me a reason to believe again. And especially thank you to my closest friends I still treasure to this day. I’m not gonna list you all because that’s too many for now.
But I kinda feel the need to thank the Guardians for being there and protecting me like you said you would in the movie. Happy 3 years ROTG and happy 3 years my amazingly wonderful ROTG fandom family.
HAPPY 3RD ANNIVERSARY OF RISE OF THE GUARDIANS (at least in America, Canada, China and Sri Lanka haha)! This movie has changed my life in so many ways (along with a couple other events in my life that happened around the same time I saw the movie) and I feel so blessed that I have such a strong connection with Jack. I will never cosplay anyone else in my life-I feel like myself when I’m cosplay. I never feel like I need to “get in character” and it’s a great feeling! Thank you @heybilljoyce for creating the Guardians and Guardians of Childhood book series and helping bring Rise of the Guardians to life! I can’t possibly express how much it means to me! THANK YOU!
