Chase Albert “Beka” Lussier

December 23, 1989 - March 21, 2005

Chase was born on Minnesota. He was in 10th grade at Red Lake high school. Chase loved to go hunting, computer games, fishing and participated in football, basketball, baseball & softball also spending time with his family & friends. He was known for his quick sense of humor. A few months before the fateful day, Chase born a son, Ayden. Friends and family say that he really loved his son and his girlfriend Alex, and he devoted all his free time to them.March 21, 2005 a man with a weapon came to his high school when the school realized that the shooting started the teacher ordered the students to go to the back of the room and hide wherever they could. Ashley Lajeunesse, crouched near her friend Chase. Beka shoved her down and told her to stay behind him. Unfortunately, the murderer fired at their side and this bullet became deadly to Chase. He died a hero. If Chase had not guarded Ashley behind him, she would have been the one who received the fatal shot. Chase would have likely survived hiding somewhere else in the room. Beka knew this, yet sacrificed his own life to save that of another. Even though he had a son to look after, family, and aspirations, he put that aside so that Ashley would live. It takes a lot of bravery to do that. Now he gets to watch his son grow up from heaven. He will always be remembered as a dedicated son, brother, friend and family member as well as the father of a son, Chase lussier Jr. Chase had a heart of gold, and for that, he will be remembered for always.
