Is Lizzie a royal or a rebel? Her mom is both a queen and a villain so maybe both???

Ok, I’ll start off by saying shes a royal. However I’d like to make a huge clarification. I’ve been made aware that for something that is basically the central theme of ever after high (atleast in the first half) the fandom has a very big misconception of what it actually means to be a royal and a rebel.

Being a royal or a rebel has absolutely NOTHING to do with what kind of destiny you have or what your status is. It doesn’t matter weather you’re destined to be a protagonist/hero or villain, or if you’re royalty or a commoner. Lizzie is a royal for the mere reason that she sticks to tradition. The fact that shes a princess and a future villain doesn’t actually carry any weight on the fact that shes a royal and not a rebel. It all comes down to what your beliefs are. Simply put: royals are those who believe that tradition and destiny needs to be followed and rebels are those who believe they should have a choice on weather they follow their destinies or not.

This is especially emphasized in the first book but I’d like to mention that before the rebel movement began, royal was a term exclusive to only those who came from lines of royalty, and the rest were just referred to as commoners. After the rebel movement happened tho, the term “royal” started applying to anyone who believed tradition needed to be followed no matter what. Which is why we have characters like Alistair and Bunny who by status are commoners and aren’t in anyway royalty but they’re royals in the royal/rebel conflict cause they strictly stick with tradition. The same thing applies vice versa with characters like Darling and Rosabella. When it comes the conflict they’re on the rebel side because for one reason or the next they believe that they should have say in the matter, but that belief doesn’t take away from the fact that they’re still royalty. By all means they are still princesses, both daughters of kings and queens. Your status and destiny have no real weight on how much of a royal or rebel you are in the conflict.

Another misconception I see alot that relates heavily to this one is that everyone is pushed to be a rebel or a royal for the same reasons. I’m talking about the claim that royals choose to stick to tradition because they have good destinies with happy endings and rebels choose to rebel cause they all have dark and grimm endings, and that is simply not true. Do a short analysis on every character and you’ll realize everyone has their own motivation to be on the side they’re are on. I mean just look at the main 4 and you’ll know what I mean.

Yeah, Apple has probably the best happy ending the fairytale world can offer but her true motivation is her fear of the unknown. When she was younger she almost drowned in a well and that kind of unpredictability traumatized her. Putting that aside, not all royals are excited about their destinies but they follow it cause “its tradition”. I mean, in theory, Briar’s destiny does have a happy ending but we know that in the circumstances of the show, it really isn’t. I feel like a lot of people completely miss the fact that even before she switched to being a rebel, Briar was never really enthusiastic about her destiny. Granted, its pretty glossed over in the show until Thronecoming but in the books….from the very beginning its so obvious that shes just going along with tradition because like the rest of the royals, she’s afraid of what could happen if people don’t follow their stories. Anytime someone brings her story up, she reacts in a way thats like “ugh please dont make me think about” while at the same time playing it off as a joke.

The rebels also on the other hand dont always have to have a tragic ending. If anything I’d say Raven is one of the few characters who is motivated to rebel because of a bad ending. Dont get me wrong its a perfectly good reason to not want to do so, but its only one reason of many. I’d actually argue most rebels in the show have perfectly good endings to their stories, and they rebel for the mere reason that they think people should have a choice. Maddie is a PERFECT example of what I mean. Shes actually super happy with her destiny and will likely grow up to become the next mad hatter because thats ehat she wants, but shes a rebel because she believes that others should be able to choose for or against the role they were assigned. Being a rebel doesn’t automatically mean not wanting to follow your destiny the same way being a royal doesn’t automatically mean being happy with your destiny.

Sae Itoshi Headcanons

.✦ ݁˖ Tiene la instintiva habilidad de saber exactamente cuándo alguien le está apuntando con una cámara. Siempre encuentra las cámaras de los Paparazzi, sin importar el ángulo o la distancia.

.✦ ݁˖ No le gustan los animales y a ellos tampoco les agrada Sae. Tienden a huir de él.

.✦ ݁˖ En su casa, de vuelta en Japón, hubo un cajón que no desocupó cuando se fue a España. Es el cajón donde guarda los antiguos juguetes de Rin, por lo que siguen ahí, en casa de sus padres.

.✦ ݁˖ Iglesias vandaliza las cosas de Sae por diversión escribiendo su propio nombre. Ya sea alguna taza, un estuche, un botiquín, su cepillo de dientes, entre otros. Sae deshecha lo que sea que Bunny haya garabateado.

.✦ ݁˖ Desprecia a los fumadores y no soporta el humo del tabaco.

.✦ ݁˖ No irónicamente, consideraría usar maquillaje. Especialmente sombras de ojos.

.✦ ݁˖ El único dulce que comería por voluntad propia sería el chocolate amargo.

.✦ ݁˖ Es más que obvio que domina el español como segunda lengua.

.✦ ݁˖ No le gusta recibir regalos y termina tirando la mayoría de cosas que le obsequian sus fanáticos.

.✦ ݁˖ Siente que usar el teléfono es una perdida de tiempo, por lo que sólo usa el suyo para leer noticias, subir una que otra foto a su Instagram y mandar mensajes cortos, estrictamente necesarios.

.✦ ݁˖ He doesn't like animals, and they don't like Sae either. They tend to run away from him.

.✦ ݁˖ At his home back in Japan, there is a drawer he never emptied when he moved to Spain. It's the drawer where he keeps Rin's old toys, so they're still there, at his parents' house.

.✦ ݁˖ Iglesias vandalizes Sae's things for fun by writing his own name on them. Whether it's a mug, a case, a first-aid kit, his toothbrush, or anything else, Sae throws away whatever Bunny scribbles on.

.✦ ݁˖ He despises smokers and cannot stand tobacco smoke.

.✦ ݁˖ Not ironically, he would consider wearing makeup. Especially eyeshadow.

.✦ ݁˖ The only sweet he would eat of his own free will would be dark chocolate.

.✦ ݁˖ It is more than obvious that he is fluent in Spanish as a second language.

.✦ ݁˖ He doesn't like receiving gifts and ends up throwing away most of the things his fans give him.

.✦ ݁˖ He feels that using the phone is a waste of time, so he only uses his to read news, upload an occasional photo to his Instagram and send short, strictly necessary messages.

Hikaru & Kaoru...

Como conjunto, ambos quieren ser reconocidos por alguien. No quieren ser sólo dos gemelos, quieren que la gente sepa que son dos. Que uno es Hikaru y el otro es Kaoru. No uno que da igual al otro. Pero al mismo tiempo, no se abren a dejar que los demás los conozcan porque no quieren que los confundan. No quieren ser lastimados, por eso no dejan que los demás siquiera intenten adivinar. Pensaban que sólo sería suficiente tenerse el uno al otro.

Para ellos siempre han habido dos mundos. El suyo y el de los demás. Y cuando alguien invade ese mundo, cuando alguien aprende a diferenciarlos y a aceptarlos como individuos... Las cosas cambian.

Hikaru ve a Haruhi como la chica que le gusta. Él es egoísta, no sabe cómo pensar en los demás porque para él sólo han sido él y su hermano. Para él, Haruhi es su propiedad, un capricho. Y cuando se da cuenta de que no es realmente así, su mundo se abre. Ahora hay espacio para ella como una persona.

En cambio, para Kaoru, la llegada de Haruhi implica la destrucción de su mundo. Si Hikaru se abre al mundo de los demás, si Hikaru sale del nido, él se quedará solo. Y claro, él quiere que su hermano sea feliz, quiere que él pueda disfrutar del mundo, así que prefiere sufrir en silencio.

As two, they both want to be recognized by someone. They don't want to be just twins; they want people to know they are two separate beings. That one is Hikaru and the other is Kaoru. Not one who is the same as the other. But at the same time, they don't open up to letting others get to know them because they don't want to be mistaken. They don't want to be hurt, so they don't let anyone else even try to guess. They thought that just having each other would be enough.

For them, there have always been two worlds: their own and everyone else's. And when someone invades that world, when someone learns to differentiate between them and accept them as individuals... Things change.

Hikaru sees Haruhi as the girl he likes. He's selfish; he doesn't know how to think about others because, for him, it's only ever been him and his brother. To him, Haruhi is his possession, a whim. And when he realizes that's not really the case, his world opens up. Now there's space for her as a person.

For Kaoru, however, Haruhi's arrival means the destruction of his world. If Hikaru opens himself up to the world of others, if Hikaru leaves the nest, he will be left alone. And of course, he wants his brother to be happy, he wants him to be able to enjoy the world, so he prefers to suffer in silence.

BUT in this silly AU I’m from a girly game, those type of simple but addictive games (with simple story). He plays it as a passtime, finding entertaining the graphics and costumes designs. He gains so much points in the mini games only to amplify the wardrobe of his digital doll ✨

Rejet is still hiring, so Iwa D posted this example photo from the production of the Vampire Lab series! It shows an early version of Ayato’s artwork and notes on the design of the blood bag.

The tweet says Rejet is hiring creators, producers, directors, planning and production managers, and event producers to work on new projects, sequels and developments of existing popular works, and related events.

Dialovers is an “existing popular work” of rejet’s, and he chose a dialovers photo to promote this ad, so am I allowed to get my hopes up…?!

I tried hard to get them as clean and as close to how they look IRL as possible, but it seems as if the App I use to scan has either dipped in quality or the scans simply weren't too kind to these pages in particular (either that or I've become rusty after so little posts these past few years).
