Did you know immediately? What was it about Tom? Did you know, okay, this is the guy, he's gonna be in my band, he's gonna be with me forever, he's it? Yeah, for sure. From the first moment that I met Tom, something special clicked. Not only in our sense of humor, in our personalities, in the way that we think about the world, but when Tom asked me, "Do you have any ideas for a song?" to start, I played him the beginning of Carousel, and his eyes lit up, and he was like, "Oh, that fits perfectly with this thing I've been working on," and he started playing this guitar line, and it was literally in the same key.
