General Grumbling

Took a break from making jewelry and sketching some ornaments I want to make for my shop and made cookies for Mom. I kinda miss having a job with 8 hour days and days off. I work either for Mom or on my shop 20 hours a day (no, I'm not exaggerating) 7 days a week. When people with "real" jobs are sleeping I'm researching new techniques and trends, hustling new places to try to get the word out about my shop or tearing apart a piece for the tenth time to make it come out just right and knowing the whole time that it may never leave my possession, and even if it does the amount of money I charge for it will never cover the hours and wear and tear on my body. If I get paid at all. When I sell to friends or family I reduce my prices to cost of materials or barely over and still only see the money about half of the time. I should stop doing it altogether but I'm afraid it's the only tiny thread to my sanity I have left
