Viktor went home and slept after dealing with all y’all.
Clearly the next logical place to look is the vault, and since Viktor is an officer of the law he looks there!
Ah yes, the scene of the murder. The scent and sight of blood still fills the room. If one is to look closely, a few coppery strands of hair can be found. Is it a natural colour? Or has it been tinted by the blood?
Clearly hair of who ever has done it. Viktor tests the hair to see if it is just natural hair color of if it is blood.
The remains of the blood washes off in the water, and you can see it is somewhat coppery.
Interesting. Is the hair long or short?

@buryy-medved said: “You have quite the reason to commit first degree murder.”
“That’s a very bold accusation.”
“It may be bold, but there is plenty of evidence that is pointing at you Mr Beilschmidt. Where were you at 10:30 pm?”
theirishwix asked: “‘scuse me, sir, but when will be allowed to leave?”
@buryy-medved answered: Viktor hadn’t even bothered to look over at Peggy before speaking. “It’s highly unlikely that anyone will leave until we find who did this or until they give themselves up. Do you have anything to say about that?”
“Do I have anything to say?” she scoffed, crossing her arms as she bit the inside of her cheek, “yeah, I do. I say it’s bullshit. Surely once you’ve questioned someone you allow them to leave, I got a life beyond Mann’s four walls and I got’a get back home.”
“You think I don’t have life beyond this as well?” He shot her a look as he spoke, already knowing this would be a nice pleasant conversation. “The person who did this is most likely here. So no one can leave yet until we have this person. Now, where were you at 10:30 pm?”
"'scuse me, sir, but when will be allowed to leave?"

"And just what were you thinking with bringing a hidden sword to a party?"
Roderich pushed up his glasses, carefully crossing one leg over the other where he sat, unable to do much else with his cane gone. “I’m going to be completely honest with you, sir. I have no reliable excuse to explain why I brought a hidden sword with me to this party.”
songsinseaminor:
“I’m well aware.” Roderich kept his expression neutral and composed as he spoke. “I did not go near the vault, no. Though I hear the security footage was tampered with, so I suppose there’s no evidence of that. I will say that I have no way to tamper with security, let alone get into the vault at all. I left the party at around 10:45 to get some fresh air, but returned by 11.”
Viktor gave a small nod before grabbing a notepad from his pocket. “I see...” he mumbled, writing down what the other said. “Do you have anyone who can verify this for you? And do you know who could have been involved with tampering with the security?”

“You know how bad that sounds? And don’t you know that carrying a concealed sword is illegal just about everywhere?” Viktor was looking down at the other with a not so pleasant look. Already irritable when things have just started. “Where you near the vault at any point during the party?”
“All of you are in trouble now.”
This party really felt more like just a flaunting of wealth to Viktor. Expensive halls, items, people, and the tiniest finger food ever. He’d would have much rather been doing something else than watching the most expensive plates ever, but a job was a job. And he was more dedicated to his job than much else.
He had been making his rounds (while secretly complaining to himself) before settling into the main hall for the moment. At least things had been going smoothly so far. It made it a whole lot easier to stand off to the side and quietly watch without having to meet any rich snobs.
Though that didn’t seem to last long as he notice someone approach. “Hm? do you need something?”
Name: Viktor Abakumov Age: 41 Occupation: Police Role: Police Backstory: An aspiring police officer since he was younger and did his fair share of hard work to get there. Though often his hard work was deemed nothing and that he had only gotten to where he is by the influence of Mann because of rumors. Viktor will adamantly deny the rumors, despite how much the rumors have ruined his name in his own workplace.
Even so he did take up the job opportunity to be part of the police to watch over the upcoming event. He was put to work as a general officer for the event as to keep patrons and staff safe. He feels that he should have been assigned to do something much more than just being a babysitter basically.
Motive: Viktor has always displayed a disgust towards Mann, and blames him for the amount of dismissal Viktor has received and for tarnishing his name.
Currently putting non au threads on hold for the event!
"HEY VIKTOR GUESS WHAT!! I CAN FLY NOW!!!!"
Viktor’s day was going quite well if you asked him. He got work done, drank way too much coffee, and he was finally able to just sit down. Until Örjan came in.
“You can what now?” Viktor paused staring don at the child. “what have you been up to?! You can’t just start doing that recklessly!”
Immediately, Örjan’s proud expression dropped, and he shrunk back a little. “I– I wasn’t being reckless!” he argued. “I tried real careful and real hard until I figured it out…” This was not the reaction he had wanted at all. He looked up at Viktor with a small pout. “I was really careful, promise.”
Viktor let out a quiet sigh. “Sorry about that Örjan. Your news came as a...bit of a surprise to me,” he said, offering a small smile to try and make things a bit better. “It’s not often you hear of kids you care for suddenly being able to fly at the age of eight.”

"And what has gotten you to be one of the grumpiest people I have seen today?"
Artem simply glared at him, but then again, even that didn’t have as much strength behind it. He took a deep breath, mumbling into his folded arms, “I did something stupid.”
"Then I suggest you stop moping like you are in one. And it's bad for for back." Viktor gave the other another smile, this one less on the side of laughing at the situation. Something one could call a touch fatherly. Or as much as a gruff face could do. "Go back to him and say sorry, or explain what's up if you like him that much. I don't think it will end well if you just avoid him from this point on."

He let out a long groan, standing up and staring at Viktor with a very tired look.
“I might have kissed him…”
A pause, and his eyes shot to the side as a blush rose to his cheeks out of sheer embarrassment, “then ran off.”
Viktor was quiet for a few moments, processing what the other had said. A slight smile and a quiet chuckle came from him. "You kissed him...than ran? That's what you're this upset about? You sound like you're part of some teenage romance movie! You don't have to be so torn over that."

Viktor gave Artem a look before crossing his arms. “Stupid? And just what did you go and do?” He questioned, moving Artem’s arms out of the way of his face. “And don’t talk like that, I can’t hear you that well.”
“I upset Klaus…” Artem said, having shifted his head so that the three words could be heard clearly by the other. He then began to slouch again, eyes downcast and lips moving a little as he grumbled to himself.
"So you're just gonna sit there and mope over upsetting someone once?" Viktor furrowed his brows and pushed on Artem's shoulder to keep him from slouching. Partly since he was talking to him, and partly his attempt at being something fatherly. "What could you have even possibly done to have upset him and get yourself into the absolute dumps."
