Oh fuck, I'm at the Poseidon Princess section. I forget how genuinely unpleasant of a game GOW3 is.
This year, I played Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 for the first time.
Another reason GOW 2-3 Kratos is just dumb as a character is that his bastardness reaches the point of being actively illogical. GOW1 Kratos had no problem murdering innocent people for comically unjustifiable reasons but at least he had reasons. At least he didn't actively kill helpless bystanders in unnecessarily cruel fashion just because they were there. Like if this moment were in GOW3 Kratos probably would have done a whole Fatality on this guy just because it's the edgy thing to do.
And this isn't me saying that GOW1 Kratos was less mean and that's why he's better written, it's because GOW1 Kratos was internally consistent. "Got the thing I needed and this guy's life means nothing to me so buh-bye." That's a train of logic that makes sense. "I want this guy's boots so I'm just gonna chop off his legs one at a time instead of just, like... taking them off" is ridiculous.
I wonder if there was ever a moment at Beacon where Weiss realized that at some point (and she has no idea when) she began going straight to Yang whenever she needed to talk about her feelings. Her door is always open, she listens, she gives great advice and she's so... comfy of a person.
Weiss: I can't believe how much of my life I wasted languishing behind that Ice Queen persona. Life is far too short to not tell the ones you love how much you care about them.
Jaune: ...Wait, you've never told me you care.
Weiss: I think you can do the math there.
(Raven voice) I never expected to have friends so this is gonna make it extra depressing when they all die inside like a year but I'll be dead too so you know.
Trigon' give it to ya.
I know we all talk a lot about doomed characters but no character has ever been more of a doomed character than Raven. What if the Anti-Christ wanted to do good? Could they even if they tried? Would it even matter?
these two are my favourite actually
Big fan of how Raven’s life was a doomed from the start prophecy but she’s so funny about it. Yes girl combat the horrors with deadpan humour.
Guess you've gotta learn to laugh so you don't cry if you're in her shoes am I right?
'Cannot allow sincere emotions to register. Must deflect with jaded sarcasm. Must not show friends how much I care because they'll all be dead soon and that weighs on me too heavy to bear as it is.'
watched the yellow trailer just to feel somethin again
I'm always super fucked up about characters like Ben Grimm, Vic Stone, Alphonse Elric, Alex Murphy etc because the concept of being locked forever inside a cold shell that prevents you from ever being able to touch the world outside or feel a gentle hand on your cheek is the most hellish thing imaginable. The whole concept of your own body being a prison, like living in your own coffin.
I think they put that Aura tracking feature on the team's new Scrolls specifically so that whenever the two are separated Yang can be nervously checking Blake's Aura levels every 30 seconds and having an anxiety attack if she sees them drop any.
Well since I got no way to read comics now I figured I'd start rewatching Teen Titans to scratch my itch and man this version of Raven is still one of my all time faves. Her every line of dialogue needs to be framed and 100% of the show's best episodes are her episodes.
this is one of my favorite scenes between a protagonist and an antagonist its just really funny watch it
Whenever Cass hits someone with the "hey I'm... bad at words and feelings but... are you okay?"
"Bruce lying to Steph and firing her again and again is just him trying to protect her" "Bruce trying to police Cass's interactions with metahumans or her dating life is just him trying to protect her" no
I think my favourite part of about Batgirl (2000) so far is when Barbara is judging Batman for “keeping Cass on a short leash” and then Cass immediately does some insane shit and Barbara is like “okay yeah maybe there’s a reason for that”
