I love being butch, I love having butch be my gender. No I'm not a man or a woman, I'm a butch. No I'm not nonbinary, I'm a butch. Having butch as my gender has been so healing for me in so many ways. I never felt like I belonged, I didn't feel right with the girls or the guys, hell I didn't even feel right with nonbinary folks. I love all of them but it didn't feel like me, like belonging. Then I learned how vast the butch label is and how welcoming it was for me. I've never felt this sense of belonging before, this feeling of home. And I will forever thank every butch who has ever existed for paving this path for me. Butchness is my identity, its my home.
