Leave your guns at home.
Here we go. The official end of real life and beginning of virtual. No, I'm not talking about those weird people sitting alone and donning weird helmets to go into their own little VR fantasy world. I have never bought that minority report or bladerunner cliche vision of the future. The reason why we'll never end up like that is because it's not social and we're inherently social people. No, the true VR future at mass scale will be these video game worlds where people are already spending hours each day interacting with each other. It makes perfect sense, since we can't actually go out anyway, why not just stay in your fun world and take a break from wasting some alien creatures and go see a Travis Scott show or go to a rager? And it's not weird because there's lots of other people doing it too with you. With an installed base of 350m, the behavior's already there. So the VR future's already here, it's just not people wearing weird helmets. It's actually alot more normal than you'd think. And that's what's scary about it.
