GP new that Charlotte held her brother on the highest damn pedestal imaginable. and with that in mind she knew that the brainless (or rather, brain-bearing) asshole who had kidnapped them both wasnât her brother. No, if he was anything like how she described, this guy was nowhere close. And Gem trusted Charlotte, so there was no reason to think otherwise. She grit her teeth harder. What she wouldnât give for a joint right now.
âHeâs dead, that fucker. More than dead. Nowhere near your bro.â She struggled against the bonds that held her, shaking her head to get rid of the excess water there, perhaps accidentally splashing Char in the process. âAnd you shouldnât believe him, kiddo. Iâm sure this sick fuck got put on death row for something like this and thatâs why heâs here.â It didnât really make any sense, but then again, with her veins pounding like her best friendâs shitty dubstep remixes, nothing did. Sheâd have to play the Mind guardian again to get a fix. The weight of her Deathcards in her pocket was familiar, at least.
âWeâre gonna get outta here, âkay? Soon as I can break this shit around my wrists.â
"Y-yeah." That's right, they were going to get out of here. They needed to get out of here. There's an alien running around pretending to be her brother and he needs to be stopped at all costs. Even if they can't stop him on their own, they'll need to warn the others and... oh gross. What is this and why is it on her face?
"Eww, what's this stuff and why are you splashing me with it? Get it off of me!" It was the strangest way to bring her strength back to her, but the girl began to struggle against her bindings as well, not so much as an attempt to break free but as to get the liquid off of her. Escaping will almost always take a back seat to cleaning oneself when you're covered in what could only be an evil alien's liquids.
Oh god what if it was some mind controlling liquid? What if GP was infected by him? WHAT IF SHE WAS INFECTED BY HIM? Would they have to jump into the spike pits to save themselves? Was it already too late? Whatever it was, it felt completely gross across her cheeks and it continued to feel more and more awful the more her mind went into conspiracy theory mode.Â
âYeah.â
There wasnât really much to say on the matter. Gemâs gaze dropped to the floor. She was tired, and it showed. Days of sadness and withdrawal were displayed in the prominent shade beneath her eyes, and there was still evidence of her struggle on her clothes. She felt horrendously dirty, as if she could feel every speck of dirt beneath her fingernails and the water running down her neck. So far, washing her hair had been the only even slightly redeemable action that the stranger had in her book - but even then, it was obviously overpowered. She groaned as she tried to stretch her restrained muscles. âI⊠fuck, you donât know him do ya? Because if so Iâm sorry to say you really need a better taste in your fuckinâ friends.â Charlotte probably didnât deserve to have anything lashed out on her, but right now, Geminia was aching and tired and angry and sober. And sobriety was the worst. Sheâd cry if she had any tears left to shed, but all she could focus on was how angry she was. It wasnât normal, not at all, with her smokes keeping her from concentrating enough on anything long enough to feel other emotions besides happiness, tolerance, admiration and positivity. Because anger burned. It burned like someone struck a match in her heart and set fire to her lungs, and it was a shame that she couldnât do anything about it. Itâs been said that those undergoing rushes of adrenaline are capable of great feats, but that did nothing to the binding on her, regardless of how hard she pulled. Her voice was a low grumble when she spoke next. âIâm gonna kill that bleedinâ shitstain if itâs the last goddamn thing I do.â
Charlotte opened her mouth to speak but hesitated, it was true that if this man was her brother she would know him, but if he was her brother she would simply not allow GP to fight him. But this man wasn't her brother! She shook her head in anger at herself, unable to believe she even considered it for a second, then let it hang before turning back to face the other.
"He says he's my..." she paused, forcing herself to say it, "br-brr-bbbbrrrrother." It was a barely audible mumble. Her helplessness at the situation was quickly turning into anger as she repeated in her head the phrase 'that's not my brother, that's an alien' over and over again. But the thought of it actually being him crept into her mind again, and she just let herself hang from the vines holding them. There would be no more waterworks coming from her anytime soon as Char's sockets had completely run dry at this point.Â
"I don't... believe him." She was half lying to herself, and she knew it. He had his voice, but an alien could have stolen it, right? Right? There was no way that was him. No way whatsoever!Â
GP didnât know how long whe was out, but when she came to, the first thing she noticed was that she wasnât alone. There was another⊠thing, writhing next to her, and she hadnât awakened enough to observe it properly, and her immediate concern was her surroundings. Her hair was wet and her throat burned, that she could feel, and when she managed to open her eyes, she saw that her glasses were terribly askew, not placed correctly and about to fall off. She couldnât shake the water out of her hair without tossing her glasses across the room. Or across the wherever-she-was. It was pretty dark. The next sense Gem regained was her hearing. Whatever was wiggling next to her, it was crying, in a high pitch voice that was only barely recognizable to her hazy mind. But⊠that person had the right idea. She felt like tearing up herself, and a lump rose in her aching throat to increase the pain there with the effort of holding sobs back. Her neck ached and she moved to try and crack it, but was met with resistance. Her hands were tied, rather literally, and she cursed under her breath as she pulled against whatever held her back. âFuckinâ shitbag,â she mumbled, remembering what had happened and who took her here. Not sheâd seen some scary shit in The End, but this guy was downright gruesome and managed to give her life-hardened skin a bad case of goosebumps. After working out the kink in her neck, she turned to the side, just enough to reveal the sobbing girl adjacent. ââŠCharlotte?â
She couldn't believe this was happening. She was... she was a proud and strong alien hunter wasn't she? Everything she'd ever believed in since her brother's death revolved around that promise of protection and pride. Yet, here she was, all those years later- dead and kidnapped somewhere in The End. She didn't see her kidnapper's face at first, it took them a while to properly approach the wall and show their face. A twisted face, she thought, one ragged by injury and heart break. His head leaking a foul liquid, it most likely was blood but Charlotte preferred to think of it as something else, it made him easier to look at. One should never feel sorry for their kidnappers, no matter what sob story they made up.
But when his lips parted, and he spoke her name aloud, Charlotte couldn't help but cry. She knew that voice. She loved that voice. It was the voice of her brother, she knew in her heart it was. But this man, this kidnapper, this THING wasn't her brother. She couldn't accept that. Her brother had eyes! Her brother had a nose! Her brother had a full head! And her brother wasn't riddled with bullet holes! He was kidnapped by aliens! This man wasn't her brother!
Yet, he insisted he was and spoke to her just as her brother would have. He begged her for forgiveness, trying to reason with the crying child, and told her that him being an alien hunter was a lie. A lie he'd thought up to protect her, that had probably gotten her killed instead. He wept with her for a time, trying time and time again to convince her before he finally rose from the ground in front of her saying 'he'd bring her a friend'.
She cried out at him, 'don't leave me here, please don't leave me here! Please don't leave me here alone in the dark!' But he had left, just like her brother had left her. The tears just hadn't stopped coming since then. She hadn't heard him return, nor did she see who he had brought with him. Just his same pleas from before, as he turned away again and left them in the darkness. She barely heard the mumbles from the one next to her, and she didn't bother to turn her head and look.
"...Charlotte?" Her head turned slowly as she tried to stop sobbing. She was still strong, wasn't she? She had to be strong for them, it was her fault they were here after all. Her third eye strained to focus, no it couldn't be...
"GP? H-he got you too?"

The only place I can go is into the spike pit. If I try to run, they'll most likely catch me.
