Motivation Spell
Here is an ultra quick and easy motivation or energy spell for you all!
What you need:
dried orange peels (any citrus works but orange and grapefruit are my faves)
cinnamon
clove
mirror
dish (plate, jar, whatever)
small candle (I use an off white but you can use any color)
felt tip pen or marker
Optional: Anything you find motivating like coffee grounds, tea, etc.
How to:
Begin by setting up your scene. Get somewhere neat and tidy and make sure there’s enough space for your mirror either standing or laying and your dish. I use a 5x7” mirror and a little Pyrex bowl that’s maybe 3/4 C. Situate your candle in the dish. Using your writing utensil, write out the things you’d like to accomplish on the peels. Sprinkle the spices onto the peels. Spread the peel mixture around the candle being very careful not to get it in the wax.
Place your mirror in your clean spot. Set the dish either in front or on top of the mirror depending on your set up. Light your candle while thinking about how super great you’ll feel once you get all your junk done. If you want to, you can think about all the things you need to do and how you want them to turn out. The spell is done when the candle is melted (tea light) or when it is just above the top of the peel mixture.
Note: The peel mixture is flammable. Please be very careful and make sure you watch your candle and how low it gets!
hey i sent you a message like a week or two ago about spells for helping your family get a house and never got any responses and i figure it probably got lost in your ask somewhere, can u pls help? :) thanks
hello! I apologize for not responding to your original message — it was either buried or eaten by tumblr.
this spell is one I usually suggest for this sort of thing. I can’t remember the source, I think it’s my little own twist on a prosperity spell that I found years ago in a book or on-line. it’s very useful and effective in my experience, though, and with some slight modifications, it can be used for general prosperity or when searching for a new job, new car, new home, etc.
materials:
gold pillar candle (green or silver also work well)
candle holder
patchouli essential oil or lavender essential oil*
olive oil (carrier oil) — mix with the EO**
a toothpick
pen and paper
write down everything you/your family is looking for in a home and how it will benefit you — be as detailed as possible. ideal location, ideal neighborhood, how many rooms, how spacious, how you’d like to decorate it, etc. fold the paper and put it aside for now, but keep focusing on everything you just wrote down.
use the toothpick to carve a simple symbol of a house on one side of the candle. on the other side, carve your family name. under that, carve an arrow pointing downward. anoint the candle with the oil mixture. place the candle on top of the folded piece of paper — if there is a specific house or apartment your family has in mind, it’d be good to print out a photo of it and fold that into the paper as well.
keep the candle and paper somewhere where you’ll see it every day and be reminded of your intent. the more energy directed at it, the better. light the candle every day for 15 to 30 minutes. take a moment each day to re-read the list and/or focus on your dream home.
*rosemary EO works okay in a pinch.
**this is important, essential oil is harsh on the skin, make sure you dilute it. vegetable oil, coconut oil, almond oil, and such work as well.
Methods of Grounding
The term grounding means connecting to the Earth, and it is one that spans from numerous different cultures, traditions, and spiritual practices. To be grounded means to be connected to the Earth’s energies. Here are some methods to ground yourself to our Earth.
Go Outside. Be out in nature; go to a field, a mountain, a swamp, a river, a stream, a beach, the ocean. Get out of the office, off of the couch. Be in the presence of nature, be in the presence of life.
Walk In Nature Barefoot. Enjoy some quality barefoot time. The human species has thrived for thousands of years barefoot, let’s take the time to return to this practice in our daily life.
Grounding Chord. Visualize, see, feel, or simply be aware of the center of the Earth and the free energy that it emits. With your mind and heart, reach down into the core, and pull up a pulsing, twisting chord of energy from the depths of the Earth. Hook this chord onto your root chakra or sacral chakra, and feel the immediate connection between you and the Earth as the energy flows through you. You may become aware of a sinking feeling, a tightening and flexing of the perineum and muscles in your groin and butt area. Conversely, you can also flex these muscles and concentrate on sending the chord down into the Earth, as well.Practice and repeat this process as often as you need. Experiment with different chords of different colors and thicknesses, and experience the incredibly wide variety of sensations that it will instill in you.
Tree Meditation. Visualize, see, feel or simply be aware of your body, and become a tree. Feel your feet grow roots that sink down into the Earth and anchor you to it. Feel your legs and thighs become wood as well, as the roots that grow up from the ground encircle and entwine themselves around your legs, and continue to spread up your body. Feel the straightening in your spine as you become a trunk, feel the energy rising from the Earth up into your stomach, into your heart, into your head. Feel your arms become branches that grow, stretch, and reach for the sky, drinking in the light of the sun and changing it into energy. Feel your crown open as it fills with light, which then flows down into your roots and into the Earth.
Mountain Meditation. Visualize, see, feel, or simply be aware of your body becoming a mountain, turning into stone. We see only the tips of mountains, their roots run deep into the Earth. Feel your legs and lower body anchoring into the bedrock and stone of the Earth, and the feelings of peace and calmness that come with it. Become the base of the mountain as it grows upwards and reaches into the sky. Feel your crown as the top of the mountain, where the Earth and sky meet and mingle; the connection of these two opposite spectrums that are in perpetual balance.

Squirrel's Autumn Harvest Spell
This is a spell perfect for this time of year when there’s that balance between day and night and emphasis on preparing for the winter.
What you need:
12 nuts. I gathered acorns myself, but feel free to use whatever.
12 small slips of paper
A candle/fire of some sort
a place to bury something in soil
Step One: Sit down with the 12 nuts and papers before you. Write down the following:
Three negative traits about yourself that you’d like to be rid of (write one per slip)
Three positive traits about yourself you’d like to nurture and be better about (write one per slip)
Two pieces of wisdom you’d like to be more aware of (Patience, Understanding- things like that, one per slip)
Two pieces of knowledge/wisdom you should share with others (your talents and how you can share them- one per slip)
One troublesome/bad thing you are giving up
One promise/resolution going forward
Step Two: Get your source of fire going. Sit down before it and say the following:
Help me Squirrel on this autumn night,
Ready for winter with this little rite.
Three negative things I bury Three positive things I grow Two pieces of wisdom to harvest Two pieces of wisdom to sow One bad habit I’m throwing away One positive change I vow
Like Squirrel let me plan for the future
And the future starts right now!
Step Three: Take the three negative things and the one bad habit and slowly light each one aflame. Watch as they burn and focus on ridding yourself of these things.
Step Four: Step outside and bury three nuts under a rock/large object- anywhere you’d never plant something. Throw one nut as far away as you can. You’ve now rid yourself of these things. Next find a place to plant things- below the base of a tree or in a potted plant are good spots! Dig a hole there and plant the seeds of the good things you want to grow- three positive traits, two pieces of wisdom to meditate on. Put the slips associated with these in the dirt with the nuts and bury them. Tend them as if they were a plant- patting the dirt gently atop it.
Step Five: You should have three nuts left- your two pieces of wisdom to share and your promise. Keep these with your things as your reminder to keep these promises. Blow out or let your flame burn out and you are done. Like squirrel we have gathered the good nuts and discarded the bad so we can prepare for the future!
Busy Bee's Overworked Pick Me Up Spell
We all face those times where we just feel burnt out- by work, life, school, relationships. And whatever the cause, it’s because our bodies and minds have just been working too hard and need a moment’s rest to regroup before trudging onward in life.
Working in an old folk remedy for fatigue, this little spell will help give you a boost when you feel worn down.
What You Need:
a candle (the energizing colors of yellow, orange and red are best)
Milk
Honey
Cinnamon
a Drinking Glass
Best done at the beginning of the day to get you pumped up or at night after a rough day.
Step One: Mix in a glass a spoonful of honey, a spoonful of cinnamon and fill it up with milk. Stir until blended (although expect the cinnamon to float a bit).
Step Two: Light the candle and sit in front of it with your feet flat on the floor and your hands/arms relaxed at your side. Breath in, and as you do imagine all the hard work you’ve been doing. Breath out, and allow yourself to feel proud for what you have accomplished. Even if it doesn’t seem like much, you are fatigued because you have run yourself emotionally or physically ragged- give yourself pride in the fact that you are working hard!
Step Three: Take a drink of your mixture and as it goes down, imagine it filling you with health and energy. You have earned this moment of peace and rest. You are awesome for busting your ass on this, go you!
Chant/Think the following:
This bee is tired, I can’t fly no more, I’ve worked too hard and my body’s sore. I’ve gave all I’ve got, I’ve got no more to give So let this elixir give me power to live. Sweet honey is my reward at the end of the day We’re gonna take these troubles and blow them away. Take flight, take wing, it’s our moment to rise. Let my heart beat anew, let me take to the skies! This bee’s not done yet, you can’t stop me now So give me this one moment of rest, and I’ll be back for my bow.
Step Four: Finish drinking your mixture, taking as much time you need to drink it down. Once finished, incline your head in a bow before extinguishing your candle.
Step Five: Repeat the mixture as needed (before/after work, before bed) to help perk you up when you’re starting to wear down again. Remember- just like a bee’s hard work results in the sweet honey, our hard work will too be rewarded.
Happiness Sugar
A little spell to make some sugar that will “sweeten” your mood.
Materials:
Elemental representations
Some sugar. I just used a spoonful for a single use but you could choose to make a lot more.
Directions:
Set up the elements in their directions.
Start with one and work clockwise. As you get to each element, think about things that make you happy that pertain to each element. Focus on them. Maybe for earth you think of the beauty in the world around us, for air the knowledge you have and the potential of learning more. For fire maybe the warmth of love and friendship, or even just being warm in general. For water maybe the beauty of the unknown, how great curiosity is. Really think about things that make YOU happy! Those were just my examples that I used.
I chose to add a little of my representations to the sugar: a small pinch of salt, letting the incense smoke waft over it, letting it sit in the candle light, and a drop of water.
Now that your thinking of all these happy things, let that energy go into the sugar.
Eat your sugar. Focus on the sweetness in your mouth, and imagine that as you do this you are also filling yourself with those positive energies, so much so that your are pushing out the negative.
Alternatively, you could just hold your sugar container and fill it with happy, positive energies if you happen to already be in a good mood.
If you’re making a lot of sugar, put it in a storage container. Use a spoonful anytime you need to sweeten your mood or outlook. You could also add it to anything if your not about just eating straight sugar.
This was inspired by everything I read saying that sugar was used in sweetness spells. I figure, if it sweetens a spell, maybe it could sweeten up a mood or outlook, too.
For Restful Sleep
Sleep Oil
1/2 ounce carrier oil (sweet almond oil, apricot kernel, or olive work well)
3 drops lavender
12 drops bergamot
3 drops cypress
To increase the benefits of your sleep, apply a few drops behind your ears, spreading the excess out over your jawline (you don’t need much, just a little dab will work). Do this immediately before bed. Please do a spot test on the back of your hand to make sure you’re not allergic.
Pouch For A Restful Night
Add these items to a pouch:
Dried hibiscus
Valerian
Chamomile flower
lavender
one small amethyst
Mix all of the above together in a small pouch and charge the pouch. Feel free to add a couple of drops of oil such as lavender, rose geranium, lemon balm or any other oil pertaining to sleep.
Sleep Jar
Blue or brown glass jar
1/8 cup dried lavender
1 tablespoon dried rosemary
1/2-3/4 tablespoon ground orris root
After everything is well covered by the orris root, store with a tight fitting lid and keep it near your bedside. When you are having trouble sleeping, take out the jar, uncap it and inhale deeply its sweet aroma. Then set it aside, leaving it open on your bedside table, turn off the lights and sleep.
You can add a piece of moonstone, amethyst, blue lace agate, or blue tourmaline to the mix to make it more effective.
More things you can do:
Drink Chamomile Tea before bed.
Can drink Valerian root tea or chew on a Valerian root
Try to stay on a regular sleep schedule
Try stress relieving activities such as meditation before bed and during free time
Winter Protection Spell
Purpose: To reinforce the moenia (outside the walls) for the winter, and to ask for the protection of the house and the house spirits.
You Will Need: Rosemary. Cedar. Ribbon. Offerings.
Notes: None
Step One - Place offerings for the land spirits around the outside of your house. In my house, this can be milk/cream, apples, oranges, candied figs, nuts, etc. As you leave your offerings, recite:
Spirits of the land, I offer you this gift in exchange for your cooperation and protection during the icy months and winter storms. Look on our house and family kindly and bring us happiness. Aid us in enforcing the protection of the walls around us, as you have done in years before. I leave you this gift as a token of my appreciation and good will.
Step Two - Place offerings for the house spirits (and the house itself) within the house—by the hearth, on the window sills, in the rooms your family spends the most time in, and in any room that is left mostly unused. Again, you can gift these spirits food. However, for indoor spirits, I usually mix up a bowl of cinnamon, cloves, and rosehips for the living room. Clove-studded oranges can be hung by the windows or placed in bowls. Orange peel and cinnamon can be boiled as a scent offering. In the rooms that you don’t use, you may want to leave a cigar or alcohol. As you leave these offerings, recite:
Beloved house and the spirits within, I offer you these gifts in thanks for your protection during the rain and wind, and to ask for continued shelter from the ice and snow. Your walls and halls are a comfort to us and we thank you for the happiness you bring us. We ask that you treat us with kindness in the months to come, and promise to treat you with kindness in return. I leave you this gift as a token of my appreciation and good will.
Step Three: Make a bundle of rosemary and cedar, tying it up with your ribbon and hang it on the front door. Recite:
As the house protects us from harm, so the door lets in happiness and joy. We offer you this gift today as a token of our appreciation for the protection of your locks, and the welcome you extend yo our friends and family. We ask that you continue to keep out ill and let in our friends and kin.
Alban Elfed (The Light of the Water)
The Autumn Equinox for three days from the sunset around September 23rd, a festival of abundance and of balancing gain and loss.
Animal Salmon.
Tree White poplar and Hazel.
Herbs and incenses Ferns, geranium, myrrh, pines and Solomon’s seal.
Candle colours Blue for autumn rain and green for Earth Mother
Crystals Soft blue crystals, such as blue lace agate, blue beryl and azurite.
Symbols Chooses coppery, yellow or orange leaves, willow boughs. harvest fruits such as apples, nuts, root vegetables, and pottery or china geese. Also use as a focus knots of corn, wheat or barley from the early harvest, and copper or bronze coins to ensure enough money and happy family relationships.
Autumn Equinox rituals are for mending quarrels, for the fruition of long-term goals, for reaping the benefits of earlier input, for love and relationships, especially concerning the family, adult children, brothers and sisters, for friendship and for issues of material security for the months ahead.
Personal Activities
Work by the sea at sunset and cast as pebbles into the dying light of the water all regrets, resentments, sorrows, failures and unfinished business from previous months that you do not wish to carry forward into winter. (If you can’t go to the sea, perhaps using a bowl or cauldron to represent the sea, standing in your garden or balcony or by a window at sunset cast the pebbles into your vessel of water. Then dispose of the water and it’s contents off your property)
Take a bowl containing equal numbers of nuts and seeds and work outdoors. Name a success or achievement that has materialised by the Autumn Equinox and eat the nut (use something else if you can’t eat nuts like berries for example, whatever works for you); then name a failure or loss and cast a seed into the ground. Continue until you have eaten and shed the same number and can think of no more; bury the rest beneath a fruit- or nut-bearing tree.
Sweep up autumn leaves into a pile; jump up and down in it as you did when you were a child, expressing joy at the promise of the coming days, and naming opportunities and all you can achieve in the winter. Finally scatter the leaves and let the good and the bad, the gains and the losses, be carries equally on the wind.
Prepare a feast of fruits and vegetables, of bread, cider and barley wine, or fruit cup, and warming soups, and hold an equinox party. Make an offering to the land of barley wine, ale or mead, and bread, as you pass around a communal cup, send individual blessings to people and places where there is dearth.
Donate old clothes and food to homeless shelters. Give away possession you no longer need to friends or thrifts shops.
Contact anyone from whom you are estranged, sending autumn flowers or a plant you have nurtured, or a basket of produce as a peace offering if your reconciliatory gestures are rejected, at least you can move forward knowing you tried. Alternatively, help an organisation concerned with peace.

Wallow in Wealth Spell
What You’ll Need:
A Green Candle
A cauldron (or fire proof bowl)
Cinnamon
A handful of soil
Alfalfa
Water
A green pouch
A Piece of Paper
A Green Ink Pen
A coin that has significance you to
Best time to cast: Waxing moon.
Step One: After preparing for spellwork (cleanse an area/cast circle if needed) Place the alfalfa in your cauldron then sprinkle cinnamon over it. Then light your candle and focus on your need. Be very specific about what exactly you want (money? booming business? steady income?)
Step Two: Tear off a slip of the paper and write out the following:
Like Pig may I wallow in the riches of life. I ask Pig humbly for -exactly what you need-. (You can say $100 by next Tuesday or be more general. Just make sure you are clear in what it is you need and by when.)
Step Three: Roll up the slip of paper and light it in the candle. Put the burning message into the cauldron with the alfalfa and let it burn a bit. Continue to focus on what you need, imagining your wish coming true.
Step Four: Scoop the soil into the cauldron and make sure it covers the rest. Then add the water to make mud because pigs love wallowing in mud! Once you get it nice and muddy, drop your coin of choice into the mix.
Step Five: On the remaining paper write out money symbols ($, sigils, whatever you see as representing wealth). Scoop out some mud and smear it across the symbols. Then dig out your coin and place it in the center of the paper.
Step Six: Fold up the paper in thirds and keep folding it until it’s small enough to tuck into your pouch.
Step Seven: Take your pouch and place it somewhere that it can receive moonlight over night. We want the new beginnings of the waxing moon to represent our new beginning in wealth.
Step Eight: The next day, open the pouch and take out the coin. This coin should be tucked into your wallet, your checkbook, under the doorstep of your business- someplace that you associate with your current money. Pig will then seek out the muddy coin and bestow the wealth requested to that location.
