Bridal Fashion Week 15' : Oscar De La Renta showroom Description: I got to dress the models at Oscar's showroom in New York. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and gave me a little taste of the behind the scenes fashion world. Oscar De La Renta was a wonderful, innovative designer. May he rest in peace.
"Top four Moschino looks for Joan Shepp window" Description: If you live in Philadelphia, I'm sure you've heard about all of the excitement the mogul herself stirred up when she decided to move and revamp her entire store. Joan Shepp is a styling and merchandising genius, she knows what looks good together, what doesn't and how far to go to make consumers do a double take. My idea for her window was to have 4 Moschino looks because out of all the designer she carries Moschino has been in the spotlight & Jeremy Scott is bringing back all things young and childlike to fashion. The outfits are all black and white for this window with one pop of color which is the red & yellow Moschino sweater, that was a hit on the runway.

"Furs, Furs, Furs"
This is for the Twiggys and Edie Sedgwicks of our generation. Colored furs (faux or real, whatever you prefer), oversized sunglasses, eccentric prints, and being a walking piece of art.
“Topshop made for Cara”
Description: Cara Delevigne is the definition of girl power. She does it all; walked in Karl Lagerfeld’s show protesting to give power back to women, posts inspirational quotes on her instagram, and stands for all things that she believes in (all while being a supermodel. The back drop I got from Life Magazine (1960s) which is a collage of protests and pictures from the sixties. Cara wears an army green coat with black bootie, a sixties coat as if she was attending a Zeppelin concert, and the leather jacket as if she was the modern day Joan Jett.
“Merchandising”
Description: Ideas for a smaller scale boutique. A definite vintage feel; photoshoot lighting replaced with a lower/yellow light for a homey feel, thrift store-esque chairs, gold/silver trunks filled with accessories, walls a hue of deep purple and blues, a keyboard amongst other furniture outside of fitting rooms for a living room feel.
“Back to Black”
Description: A feel for minimalism with the look of the modern woman. She’s sophisticated, sexy, and stylish. Jazzing up the minimalist color palette (black & white) with different patterns and accessories that scream “I AM fashion!”

Radtrash : Badass girls with badass style.
Background info:
-Creator & owner of brand: Danielle Slade
-Based out of: Rhode Island
-Founded: 2014
How did it start? : Danielle started by selling vintage pieces on Poshmark and loved it so much that she decided to start an online boutique and create a brand of her own.
Where does Radtrash draw their inspiration from?: Kick ass girls who aren't afraid to be different: (Miley, Iggy, Rhianna, Angelina)
If you haven't seen the pieces that Radtrash is creating, you're surely missing out. What I love most about this brand is that it screams original, young, bright, and most of all FUN. Also, they aren't expensive at all so everyone can afford to be stylish when shopping their clothing. One of their most popular pieces right now is the pastel goth skater suspender skirts, which features four colors: pink, mint, lavender, and mellow yellow. These skirts are absolutely a must have for spring/summer 14.
Some of my personal favorite pieces from this awesome boutique include their cross my heart sunglasses, which are over sized black round sunglasses that say cross my heart, hope to die, stick a needle in my eye. Another, is a pink beanie that says "On Wednesdays we wear pink," and the American Flag onsie, which I will be acquiring for the 4th of July.
While corresponding with the owner of Radtrash I can see that she is a fashion innovator and in our generation those are hard to come by. Everyone has a dream and it takes a lot of time & energy to actually make it happen. She is a person that I would call an inspiration for those interested in fashion, not only does she own a online boutique, runs a Facebook page and tumblr, she's twenty-two years old and attending grad school.
Radtrash creates statement pieces. From their "Lets make out" crop top to their checkerboard leggings, walking down the street in one of their pieces you will not go unnoticed. Danielle said it herself "I really prefer to just throw pieces together that I really love and own the look. I don't believe in just wearing one statement piece at a time; wear what makes you feel good and alive." I couldn't agree more. Fashion is about wearing what YOU want. I'm a fan of this of this brand because their clothing spreads an important message without having to say it : dare to be different.
