　There were ways to squash about potential rebellions. In the end, it was nothing too personal. He was only doing what he must to make Alexandria as little of a threat as possible. They weren't like the other communities Negan had absorbed in his network of Saviors. They were fighters — they knew what they were doing and they hated Negan's guts with such vehemence it was evident what he had done to their comrades would never be forgotten no matter how it might be in their best interests to do so moving forward. He didn't want to wake up to a bullet to the head as much as the next guy. And makin' them weak benefited his men. 'Kept his guys happy. "Now, now you can and you will. 　It was a lot all things considered. What was the chances that they'd both end up bein' alive? She seemed like a damn miracle. Or perhaps he had finally gone mad enough to be seeing his dead wife many years from the last thing he had seen her. Coming back to their basement unable to find a damn body had left him so torn up. And it turned out it was her own doing - trying to spare him that proper ending only for to survive it.
