I’m not dead.
I’ve moved, and it has been hell, and we still have no internet.
I miss you guys. :(
i love the concept of living platonically (or not) with a bunch of pals instead of getting married…. like tht sounds so much kinder than spending my life with a person i must devote myself to. i’d rather live in gentle love than romantic love
I’m always a slut for kindness and basic human decency
we all love the ‘everyone thought you were dating’ au but what about a ‘we weren’t sure which one you were dating’ au
Joly and Combeferre thought Marius was dating Éponine until he started waxing poetic about Cosette
everyone thought Jehan and Grantaire were a thing until Montparnasse showed up at the Musain bc Jehan took his hat
when Courf announced that Marius had moved in with him, Enjolras thought they’d been dating but he didn’t notice and was too embarrassed to bring it up
what is this level of miscommunication do these nerds even talk to each other
Marius wasn’t sure which one of the Amis Courf was going out with but he didn’t want to seem judgey so he just wallows in confusion
Feuilly couldn’t tell which of the trifecta was the third wheel
Bahorel and Grantaire are either fighting or flirting, no one knows (but they know exactly what they’re doing)
Joly, Bossuet, and Musichetta are everyone’s relationship goals
My kink is when you’re eating a pint of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and your spoon hits a massive boulder of cookie dough that you then pry out like an archaeologist on the dig of a lifetime
SHIP
FOR THE OT3 OF OT3′S.(apologies for how long this is I couldn’t stop myself)
who throws things in a fight ? Most people would expect them to all be quite explosive and dramatic, but at least after the first few months they all realise that to make this work they’ve got to listen and talk about things rationally so they tend not to have huge fights because they never let it get to that point. Overall, Jehan is the most likely to throw things, usually cutlery, mainly because he’s the smallest and he thinks it makes him seem more intimidating. When Bahorel cottons on to this, they start to join in too and it’s only when they both notice just how much it makes Feuilly flinch and how he closes off afterwards that they stop. After this the fighting becomes a lot calmer and overall they tend not to let things get heated.
who goes to their parent’s house for a weekend when things get bad ? Even though Bahorel is the only one with a family who is completely supportive of them, Feuilly is actually the most likely to go to his ‘parents’ when things go bad. Except his ‘parents’ mean either staying with Cosette and her dad or crashing at Courfeyrac’s (who’s the dad friend of the group lbr). He gets scared when things get bad because Jehan and Bahorel mean so much to him but he just doesn’t know how to handle relationships. A lot of the time he leaves because he finds it easier to process what to do in any situation when he’s on his own because that’s how he’s done it his whole life.
who wants to have children ? who doesn’t ? if both do, how do their goals differentiate ? Feuilly and Bahorel both know they want kids and Feuilly is adamant on adopting. Jehan is a bit nervous about the idea but when they talk about it it soon grows on him too. The only problem is they have a lot of problems getting through the system to actually be able to adopt. They’re three adults just out of university with multiple minor crimes between them and poly relationships aren’t widely accepted so it’s really difficult for them to get through the whole process. Also, they’re part of a revolutionary activist group, Feuilly still wants to get an education one day, Jehan’s writing could take him anywhere and Bahorel never wants to get rid of their sense of adventure. They end up fostering instead of adopting, they give the kids a place to stay until they find somewhere else more long term and accepted and keep in contact with all the children. It’s maybe not what they want most of all but it’s perfect for them and they have an ever expanding family while always having each other.
who is more adverse to physical contact ? Jehan is probably the most adverse to physical contact. Bahorel and Feuilly are both crazy tactile and will always be leaning and resting on each other or someone else, but Jehan prefers to be asked before having people touch him and the other two respect this.
who hates/dislikes their neighbors the most ? None of them really hate their neighbours per say but Bahorel gets the most worked up about them, There are so many wild rumours regarding their relationship in the block because everyone just assumes rather than asks. Bahorel insists that they don’t like them because they don’t like it when people come to snap judgements, but it’s mostly because they think that they’re the ‘third wheel’ friend to Jehan and Feuilly’s relationship.
who hates/dislikes their significant other’s family ? Jehan’s family isn’t great and it’s a strained relationship at best. Bahorel and Feuilly both have major problems with the way that they treat him and how they look down on people, people being themselves. Feuilly is particularly pissed because he doesn’t understand how someone could ever treat their family that poorly and he thinks Jehan deserves better. But on the other side of it, they all adore Bahorel’s mother (including Bahorel). Feuilly and Jehan love her to pieces and they both ring her to check on how she’s doing and bring her cookies when they visit to try and sweet talk their way into her secret recipes.
who is most likely to leave when things get rough ? Feuilly is the most likely to leave when things get rough but he always always always comes back. Sometimes he’ll vanish for a few days leaving just a small note on the side. The first time it happened Bahorel freaked out the entire time he was gone and Jehan couldn’t even write he was that worried. When he got back they talked about how sometimes Feuilly just needs a bit of air and space to sort out his thoughts because he still wasn’t used to being so loved and it could be overwhelming at times. They come to an agreement that he’d have to take his phone with him and even if he wasn’t ready to talk, he’d text them anything (it could be anything as simple as an emoji or a few x’s) just so they knew he was okay.
who thinks their partner turned out a different person than they thought ? They all give off crazy different first impressions so they’ve all discovered that they’re not like they first thought. Bahorel seems like the toughest kid on the block when you first meet them, as well as being a genuinely cool person, but Feuilly and Jehan soon realise that this is not the case. They think that they’re not great with their feelings but Bahorel is actually really good with saying when something’s upset them and bringing up difficult topics. Also they are a massive fucking geek and the biggest teddy bear to ever exist. Feuilly seems a bit holier then thou when you first meet him, simply because he’s so secure and confident in what he believes and it takes a decent argument and stories of experience to sway him, but he’s actually got a pretty bad inferiority complex. Bahorel and Jehan genuinely thought that Feuilly was confident about who he is and discovering that he’s actually very insecure was a huge table turner in their relationship. It makes all of them communicate more and brings in a certain fondness amongst the teasing. Although they still tease each other all the time, they start to be genuine and serious with their fondness as well.Jehan gives off so many impressions it’s hard to know what to think. After being in a relationship with him for a few weeks however they both realise that he’s actually quite simple at times. Sure, the things he loves change constantly, but when you get him to talk it’s easy to understand what he wants and what he care about. Maybe he still is the complicated multi-layered poet but it doesn’t feel that way to Bahorel or Feuilly. Although they suppose maybe it’s just because they both know him so well.
who is more likely to cheat ? Nah mate they’re in a poly relationship and talk about how they’re feeling all the time. They are completely honest and are all committed to each other, if they ever found themselves liking someone else they would talk about it and discuss the possibilities before deciding what to do together.
who is the more experienced ( sexually or otherwise ) ? Feuilly has the most general life experience, due to his independence when growing up and not having anyone else to ask things from. Sexually, Bahorel is probably the most experienced because they’re the only one who’s been with more than one person at once before their relationship started and they’re the one to map out the logistics when the other two realise they’re a bit clueless of how they have sex without anyone feeling left out. Jehan has the most romantic experience as before they got together he was with someone for over a year. He’s also great at thinking of romantic ideas for dates that they can do without fear of people harassing them.
who hates/dislikes their significant other’s friends ? *distant sounds of laughter* None of them have any other real friends apart from the group. Before they get to know him, Bahorel and Jehan get a bit worried about Feuilly’s odd friendship with Montparnasse, they don’t really get how Feuilly likes the criminal until they give him a chance and realise he’s ridiculously protective of Feuilly and would never get him involved in anything that could harm him. Bahorel has a few law school buddies that Jehan absolutely abhors. Feuilly can deal with them but their blatant disrespect to other peoples emotions pisses Jehan off so much. Jehan’s friendships outside the group are all pretty great as he only surrounds himself with people who are good for him.
who wants to go to social gatherings the most ? BAHOREL. They love and thrive off other people and big social gatherings are totally up their street. Jehan doesn’t like getting crowded and prefers smaller groups, Feuilly is indifferent but likes spending his free time doing something relaxing, but they both humour them and go out to the social gatherings with them, even the crazy big ones.
who is most likely to be dishonest ? Bleck no they’re all honest to each other. Bahorel once lied about breaking a lamp Jehan was particularly fond of and felt so guilty they had a bad dream about it and ended up confessing it in the middle of the night.
who is more emotionally closed off and how does this affect their partner ? Ahh they all have their moments.Bahorel has days sometimes where everything has to be quiet. It’s easy for Jehan and Feuilly to adapt to this in order to help them, normally they’ll sit down with them and put on some piano music and just sit together. Feuilly will paint and Jehan will read and they’ll just sit with Bahorel on their lumpy sofa and make sure they’re okay. Jehan gets sucked into his poetry and won’t leave the study for hours. The other two normally worry a lot and have to leave food inside the study before this happens so he has something to eat. They’ll normally text him throughout the day positive messages and when he gets out of his melancholy he’ll read them all and get very blushy. Also baths work wonders when Jehan is feeling down and doesn’t want to talk about it. They all try squeeze in together or run the bath for him and leave him alone to soak up his feelings.Feuilly can get very closed off about his past and it takes a lot to get him talk. The real problem is how guilty he feels about complaining and it frustrates his partners because they love him so much and if something is making him unhappy they want him to talk about it. After a bit of coaxing he’ll start talking, although he has his days where he’ll just be unable to talk about it, normally they curl up either side of him in their big bed and hold him close as he tries to relax.
who is the dessert person ? Feuilly has a really bad sweet tooth and the other two indulge it ALL the time. It’s because they know he didn’t get treats as a child and they both get sad thinking about little Feuilly and all the shit he went through as a kid. I imagine they’d both really try to treat him and desserts are a way to do that without him feeling guilty about getting spoilt because to quote Feuilly “I’m not going to turn down free food”.
who is more conservative ?No one in this pairing is all that conservative??
who hates/dislikes oral sex ?Ha no they all love oral sex.
