Growing up white, I never felt underrepresented in the media. I never experienced colorism within my community. I never feared for my family‘s safety on a short drive to the grocery store. I never was targetted with harmful racial stereotypes. I never felt responsible for educating the ignorant regarding my race. I never feared my life would be at risk at a traffic stop. I never thought twice before speaking to law inforcement. The list is endless...

If you are not aware, you are blinded by exactly what you are denying to exist. We are privileged. Do not expect to be educated. Educate yourself. Understand that you have an advantage. Understand that it is not enough to post a black photo and hashtag it. Protest, donate, call out racism in your family, in your friends, and in your peers. Understand that we will never truly understand, but we must stand. We can not sit in silence. DO NOT DO NOTHING. ALL LIVES DO NOT MATTER UNTIL BLACK LIVES MATTER!!!
