112 Weddings is an HBO documentary by Doug Block, who for 2 decades made extra money by shooting wedding videos.  He was always curious about what happened to the couples after their weddings, so in his documentary he visits nine of his favorite couples to see what their lives are like now.  It's a really interesting watch!  Check it out OnDemand!

A Summer Wedding Treat

It's hot out there, and with Summer now fully underway, we thought we'd explore one of the tastiest ways to keep cool at a party - ice cream!  Who doesn't love an ice cream cone, sundae, or refreshing popsicle?  These sweet treats are a great way to take care of your wedding guests in the hot Summer months and a fun way to instill some home style comfort or vintage looking glam into your decor.  Whether it's an ice cream cart, truck, or sundae bar, or tray passed popsicles, popsicle infused cocktails, or take away frozen treats, these are sure to keep your guests smiling :)

Wild Child!

These wild flowers might not be truly wild, but they have the same natural beauty that a field of flowers has - wonderful texture, life, and color.  This free form method of flower arranging is beautiful on tablescapes, in bouquets, and as unexpected pops of color on bars, beside guest books, or in the bathroom.  Best of all, they are seriously DIY friendly and easy on the wallet!

Quick Pick!

Fanciful, festive, and fun!  Balloons don't have to be big, loud decorations for kids - they can be light and textural decorations for adults too!  Here's a delicate and feminine balloon garland/arch that could add just the right touch to a wedding.  Cheaper than flowers, just as colorful, and even more ornate.  We approve!

Ombre is a coloring style used in everything from fabric dyeing to prop and floral arranging. It's a wonderful way of injecting life into your color palette as it creates the illusion of growth within your color scheme. Succulents are an ever popular landscaping and decorating item both for their low maintenance growing habits and their outstanding appearance, and they've slowly but surely entered into popularity in the wedding world - it's so obvious why!  They offer color and texture that everyday flowers don't, and they're readily available at your local nursery for some serious DIY decorating options.  Check out these pics for some succulent wedding inspiration.

Day-Of Pampering

On the day of your wedding, it's important to relax, enjoy, and have fun.  With that in mind, anything that you can do to pamper yourself is a good idea!  This doesn't have to be ultra extravagant either - it can be as simple as ordering room service or a meal delivered to you, having your bridesmaids run last minute errands for you, or hanging with your groomsmen on the beach.  Just remember to enjoy it all!
