Followers and Close Friends
Sometimes we give so much importance and meaning to everything. You know, I won't make a fuss or mention names, but maybe if I had learned earlier to categorize friends, I would have avoided many problems.
I'm talking about not trusting everyone 100%, about moving away from the mindset that you're either my best friend or you're nothing—that doesn't exist anymore. It's about knowing how to get the best out of people. For example, I might be a good friend to someone for going to a specific place, like the gym, but maybe I'm not the perfect friend to go to church with, you know? It's a bad example, but you get the idea. So, if I know what that friend is good for, I'll avoid a lot of issues, and truly trust only a very few people, and those people are not these category friendships. It's about not fully trusting and knowing how to separate. It's like Instagram: there are close friends and followers. There are photos you only trust to post for your close friends, and photos that don't reveal much about you, so your followers can see them.
