Baekhyun // Dream MAMA awards 2016

#baekhyun #i finally found one akjskjshkj thank god for mari's gifs honestly #i don't think people realize that beyond baek's seemingly confident and well put together exterior #he's just as nervous as anyone else and he can also get easily overwhelmed as well #he talked about it today during his lol broadcast but he mentioned he was so nervous about that performance #so much to the point that he can't even recall a single memory from it because all he could think about was how anxious he was #he stated that he's really terrified of heights and it probably showed in his expression at first and made him look uneasy #and that this was the first time he ever had a duet with a female idol and the first time they performed that song #so it only served to increase his anxiety and heightened his fears #and i just find that little admittance of weakness and vulnerability to be so endearing about him #although he seemed nervous - which clearly anyone in that position would be - he did so exceptionally well #and to see him gain confidence as the performance went on and found some solid footing made me so proud #and exo had just gotten done with back to back concerts in tokyo dome and went on a direct flight from japan to hong kong #they barely had any time to sleep - i doubt they even did at all given the time frame #and he was running on exhaustion and anxiety and yet that performance was so beautifully served vocally #although shaky at first due to evident understandable nervousness - there was such clarity and depth there #baekhyun remains to be such a professional when it comes to singing live and has always given the most outstanding vocal performances #this is just another piece of evidence of that beauty in him as a vocalist #regardless of anything he managed to still serve such a beautifully well done performance in the end #i have all the pride in the world for him #light of my life #precious gift #little prince #treasure of the universe

#baekhyun #if there's anything i feel for baek it's always going to utmost pride and respect and acknowledgement for all that he accomplishes #and people see baek and they just assume that he's had it easy - that he's this being of enormous confidence and proud status #when it's always been the opposite - he's so hard on himself and one of the biggest perfectionists i know #when he entered sm it was after several failed auditions with other companies - it was at an age where being a trainee was unlikely #where his colleagues are leagues ahead of him in years and trained ability and he's barely scraping for time #it's probably the easiest to feel sorry for yourself - to hold yourself as the victim of circumstance #and to grow bitter of the challenges that you have to face - and yet the one thing i've never seen him do is perceive any of it pityingly #among all the choreos and lyrics and melodies that he had to learn along with his future teammates #he had to learn on his own time how to do any basics in dance and to completely restructure his voice #and then in the midst of only a total of 11 months training - only 3 in which he was given the chance to truly learn the foundations #he was given such a significant role of main vocal and such numerous responsibilities he probably found hard to prepare for #carrying the team vocally in live performances as well as during variety despite his lack of experience in the industry #eventually with his 'scandal' the amount of work he had to once again put just to gain back respect and confidence in him #when the world was trying to tear him down he merely continued to pick himself up and continuously apologized and promised to improve #when all he's ever done was work hard - even though he's never allowed anything to steer him off his track #even though he's given the past years and years solely to us and the stage and giving his whole heart for the sake of his performances #he still looked upon us and this stage with so much warmth - always apologizing and always improving and always being so grateful #he still had the compassion and warmth in him to never give up and to continue to find so much love in him for his career #despite his anxieties and fears and nervousness he had poured the entirity of himself into his work #for these past five years not once has he gone easy on himself and not once has he ever caved in to any of the pressures given to him #and that's what makes him fearless - not the lack of fear he holds but the amount of passion in him to face them and conquer over them all #his passions have always won over his fears and that's one of the most beautiful things i've found in him #for him to love his dreams so much that any sort of weariness and tiredness falls from view and remain insignificant in comparison #that he's willing to abandon any sort of fear and anxiety for the sake of those dreams and that love for the stage #and standing there is a boy who has given his all in order to get there and i have never been so proud as to have supported him #everything you have little angel is everything you have worked hard for - never thank us you were the one who earned this all #light of my life #precious gift #little prince

#baekhyun #man i've been looking high and low for baekzy gifs that are just them singing #instead they're all just gifs of when xiuyeol were teasing baek about holding suzy's hand like that #which to be fair was because she had placed her hand like that on top of his #but i have been shammed so that killed my buzz for writing it agkjshkjsh #first off though they did incredible considering baek was clearly nervous as hell both due to the fact that he has a bad fear of heights #and this was the first performance of the stage #as well as suzy being sick after having shot her mv for her solo debut coming soon #and they somehow managed to be cutely awkward especially considering i mean well they hardly know each other lmao #they barely got any time to rehearse this either considering their schedules #and i think they did wonderfully :((#sounded incredible especially since this was evidently 100% live and performed well together #:(((#light of my life #precious gift #little prince #treasure of the universe #they also got the highest ratings of the whole entire night and that shows how much people anticipated it #i'm really happy baek go to be a part of that #and he honestly never disappoints vocally #such incredible power and loveliness to his voice

#baekhyun #to think that he still thinks they don't do enough - that in every award speech he always emphasizes that it's our work not theirs #it amazes me to think that he doesn't realize the vast amount of work and dedication he's put into this #if you only realized little angel that every single opportunity given to you - all the numerous amount of love and recognition you've gained #every single bit of that was accumulated through your own passion and strength and perseverance #he talked about how he likes reading negative comments because they help point out the traits he still needs to improve upon #that they're indicators that he still has more to learn and more to grow in and that they've aided him in that aspect #and he always mentions - regardless of his vast improvement and incredible grounding - just how much he still needs to improve #stating once that in order to receive a solo he still needs to work more in order to deserve one #one of the lasting things i remember was when asked to choose between happiness and success he immediately chose success #and when asked of what thoughts comprise his day he mentioned skill building and his future to be the top priorities of him #he stated that the only way for a tree to bloom further is through it's branches and in order for flowers and fruit to grow #without forgetting its roots the branches need to reach forward themselves in order to touch the sky #he talks about how rather than wishing for anything he'd rather slowly accumulate it all #because anything gained in a moment could be lost in a moment and he'd rather build himself through his own hard work #his mantra has always been that life is a path of efforts and that in order to accomplish anything one must live diligently #there's so much passion and love in him to grow and improve - all for the sake of the stage and to constantly show more to fans #he works hard merely because he thinks the fans deserve more and he always wants to make sure he's not complacent and lazy for our sakes #he has such a kind passionate heart and he's always directed it towards us #to think i stan a boy so humble and hardworking - god he's so lovely #light of my life #precious gift #little prince #treasure of the universe

#baekhyun #he started off with so little - barely any experience in singing and absolutely none in dancing nor this industry #and yet through his own hard work and sense of dedication and perseverance has accumulated such vast talent and recognition #he used to get barely a millisecond of promotion in their debut teasers and yet look at him now #being entrusted by his peers and choreographers to create a lasting impactful image with such a powerful ending solo #gaining numerous awards ranging from favorite korean singer to favorite male actor to best collaboration #receiving an immediate number one for every single song he's released - having multiple paks and caks under his belt #exploring every single part of the industry from singing to dancing to acting to musicals to mcing and finding growth in each one regardless #and still remaining so diligent in improving himself and maintaining such a sense of humbleness and warmth #in those aspects you always think that he must get tired or bored of constantly practicing and continuing #that there must be parts of him that have gone lazy and complacent because it's almost impossible to still hold so much still #and yet there's so much light in him to explore himself and so much potential and vast opportunities he's willing to take in order to grow #never has he been hindered by the impossibilities he's come across and instead believed in all the possibilities he could carry #i've seen unquestionable mentions of just how hard working and incredibly focused this boy is #and although the main focus tends to be his sunshine personality - he's made with the fire and passion of the stars as well #always being found in practice rooms and diligently practicing for every occasion - constantly finding praise for his work ethic #and it's really easy to say that you want to work hard and that you're working hard to improve #but to not only have the desire but the results of improvement - it really shows just how much baek has worked in order to reach this point #the reason why he's gained so much was all through his own amount of effort and passion for this #he's made it all look so easy but he's struggled for the longest time in order to reach this point #and he's still working with every single bit of determination and focus in him to continue to improve #and that's why it's never boring stanning baek - you always get such a dynamic character who is always diligent in improving #god he consistently makes me so proud #just look at him up there - absolutely brilliant #light of my life #precious gift #little prince #treasure of the universe
