However, our struggle is far from over. The brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip has stripped us of everything. My family and I lost our home, our belongings, and our sole source of income. We have been forced to start from below zero.
Currently, part of my family is in Egypt, trying to rebuild their lives. But human solidarity and attention have faded over time, and the donations have drastically slowed down. We are now struggling immensely to cover basic monthly needs, including rent, utilities, and daily expenses.
More painfully, my brother, Mohamed, is still trapped in Gaza, enduring unimaginable suffering every single day. He urgently needs monthly financial support just to secure his basic daily necessities and survive the harsh conditions there.

I won't talk today about all the suffering we've endured throughout this war. Instead, I'll share one simple reality of our daily life.
Just to avoid becoming homeless, we must pay $500 every month to rent the small plot of land where our tent stands. That is the price of having a roof over our heads.
And that's only the beginning. It doesn't include food, clothing, medicine, education, or the countless unexpected expenses of a family of seven, including three university students trying to survive one day at a time.
Oh my God, what happened to him? He was going to buy some sweets. He was so excited because he hadn't tasted them in months. I saw him going, his face beaming with joy. He couldn't believe it. On his way, the killers of children and women bombed a house near him. His joy and smile were stolen. He suffered several head injuries, resulting in a concussion. He is now in intensive care and will undergo surgery; it's a matter of life or death.
What did this innocent child do to deserve this? What did his smile do to deserve being stolen by child killers? This is genocide. They don't care about children, women, or the elderly. They have no conscience, no humanity. Youssef suffered multiple fractures in his limbs and now needs your support. He is an orphan; his father was killed at the beginning of the war, and he has no one but his mother. I implore you to provide quick and urgent support for Youssef's recovery. If you had to navigate the internet in a language you didn't understand and couldn't even read, how would you go about it?
My friend Wesal (@deemagaza) doesn't speak English. The only way she can find her way around the English internet is by using Google Translate or ask others like me for help. It is very difficult for her.
Yet she has no choice but to do so for her daughter Farah, almost sixteen now, who is autistic and has a kidney problem that - without treatment - makes her deficient in potassium, which, if it becomes too severe, can lead to cardiac arrest.
^ Farah spends most of her days like this now, feeling uncomfortable in her body, but not understanding why.
Farah's medication has become unavailable in Gaza, which has endangered her life and means she has to be treated in the hospital, which is costly and where they are running out of resources as well. Farah's case has now been referred to the WHO to be transferred abroad. If the opportunity for evacuation arises, we must make sure the funds are available!

Sometimes, time seems to move in a vicious cycle, repeating itself in a painfully astonishing manner, as if mocking humanity's ability to learn from its mistakes. Two images are separated by 79 years, yet they appear as though no time has passed, as if the gap between them is merely a few fleeting moments.
The first image: A Palestinian elder holding the keys to his home, from which he was forcibly displaced after the Nakba of 1948. An image filled with pain, with tears that dried on faces, and hearts that collapsed under the weight of loss. Yet, hope for return still filled those hearts.
Ahmad is a really bright young and ambitious man whose future has been put on a pause due to this genocide. His current priority has gone from working on himself to working to keep his family afloat.
