darcy hadn’t been in nashville long: the diocese had set him up with an apartment a bit aways from the church and he was thankful for the help they had given him, but nashville was a unique animal in its own right. everything seemed both new and old, and building were spread in such a vast array. he wondered if he needed a car while he was here, but he truly didn’t know how long he’d be preaching to the good people of tennessee.Â
“what would you recommend?” he asked the bartender. claddagh was a block or two away from his tiny abode and it looked aggressively irish, which put his mind at ease.Â
Charlotte had been cleaning up some glasses when he approached the bar. She had only been working there for about a month, but she was sure she hadn’t seen him before. Shrugging a shoulder, she continued to dry glasses as she replied, “That depends on what you like.” It was still so strange... working. “Are you more into spirits, or beer? Maybe cocktails?” She liked making cocktails. It was almost kind of fun.

About Charlotte
Charlotte was raised in a strict North Carolina home with only her father; a wealthy business owner who never remarried after his wife died. He had a vision for what Charlotte’s future would be and projected it so aggressively on to her that she fully believes it’s what she wants too.
All her life, Charlotte was raised to believe she was better than everyone else. Her father stood her on the highest pedestal and no one could ever possibly knock her off. She was prom queen, homecoming queen, head of almost every comittee- everyone was beneath her.
On the outside, she was a perfect lady. She could adapt to any situation with dignity and poise, but she could also teardown anyone she chose to within the blink of an eye. No matter how nice she appeared, Charlotte most likely didn’t believe a word she was saying. Back home most people knew this, but she always got away with it.
Moving to Nashville wasn’t exactly her choice, but she hadn’t been prepared for how difficult it would be to keep her same standing in a town she didn’t grow up in. The thing that Charlotte had always wanted more than anything was to get married. It was the big dream. So when her long term boyfriend said he was moving to Nashville to live out his dreams, obviously she had to go with him.
Honestly, she thought that he wouldn’t get very far. Maybe they would spend a year out in another state before he realised his mistake and they could go back home, but one year turned into two, which turned to three. By the time he proposed to Charlotte he was also signing contracts and opening for some pretty big names.
Heading home was not an option. Being dumped for a bunch of strumpets was embarrassing and at least here she could maybe still latch on to a semblance of fame. Charlotte found herself needing to find a job for the first time in her life and this was how she ended up behind the bar of Claddagh.
Extras
Has been working in Claddagh for about a month or so now.
Vocally not a fan of the Coyotes.
Has probably never had a genuinely nice word to say about anyone.
Has so much to say about everything and everyone.
She’s determined to get her life back on track and where better to do that than right here surrounded by wannabe stars?
Deep deep down, she does wish she was capable of being different. She’s lonely and feels incredibly jealous of people who have close friends.
